Excellent Jamie! Very informative and well done.
Oh, and I am still loving the Blueridge tenor guitar I recently got from you that you set-up in octave mandolin GDAE tuning. Outstanding instrument and incredible value. Thank you!

I recently bought myself a mandola and it is hard to find any books on how to play it. However I just found Mel Bay's "Complete Tenor Banjo Method" in the bargain bin at a local music shop for $5. Seems quite thorough, although there's no tab, just music notation and some chord grids. Seems like a good place to start.....

Beginner question: Can you play the same chords that I play on a regular sized guitar on a tenor guitar?

No. Unless you use Chicago tuning.
