I saw Tiger play at he WACA in the 60s. I marvelled that such a man could be Captain. It was my introduction to Indian test teams. Then cam et h greta spinners, Bishen Bedi my favourite. I never forgot Tiger nor the team and the spinners. Chappelli is such great story teller and one of the best cricket commentators going around. RIP Tiger.

Now that's what you call a homage a straight talking Ian for a damn straight Tiger..I'v always loved to hear Ian he is damn fine narrator - the only endearing Chappel...RIP Tiger Pataudi regrettably I was born too late to watch him in person..but each time I hear someone speak about him I find a little more respect for the man..

Tiger was a Sussex legend. To play cricket again after the car crash proved both his resolve and greatness.

A touching tribute to an unsung and true genius of the game - Tiger. Tragically underused and cut short, he will never-the-less live long in the minds of those who knew him.

Such lovely eulogy to a great skipper and the Nawab. MAK will always remain our best Indian captain.
You step into Cricket Centre at Wankhede and MAK welcoming you with that killer look and the smile, you step out of that lift to the first floor & I mean it, he is the greatest skipper ever!

I saw the Delhi match at Feroz Shah Kotla ground with my dad in 1969. I was i think 6 yrs of age then! Ian chappel made a century on the first day. I think India won that match. Not sure how much Patuaudi made. It was not a good scoring match for either side. Spinners totally dominated the innings.

I think and feel that this kind of comradeship went missing post the 80s when cricket became very serious and less gentlemanship.

one simple truth. tiger would have been an excellent one man selection panel for india. he loved the game but more important he made the world sit up by pushing the 4 spinners to memorable performances. too bad we had and have a rotten Cricketing Board who never understood his genius. chappell and imran missed out on one quality of Tiger. His genius. probably no matter how close they claim they were to him or how much they adulated him the word genius never came to thier lips.
