@globule200 I'm pretty sure that Paco does that to signify the beginning of a new piece. If you watch most of his performances he does it specifically after tuning the guitar to a new piece.

its a secret that almost no one knows, he put vaseline on his fingers so it sounds more softly and acts as a lubricator for fingers. Iv tried it and its very useful.
@@victormolinatorres its not no secret its Vaseline it makes ur fingers move smoother along strings specially when ur playing picado
