Love your videos Kayla!! You and Aunt Penny are a hoot😂 We are from North Alabama and usually camp every year at this time at Desoto State Park so we can go to the yard sales and then go back to the campground when we need a break. We take our little dog Charlie and have the best time! We’ve made it a tradition:) I went to a lot of the same yard sales that you and Aunt Penny went to. We usually go to the ones near Fort Payne and Mentone. We found a vintage general store scale and several other great finds for my booth. If you’re ever near Gurley, Alabama.. check out my booth at Ginger and Pickles:) Many Blessings!!

They have commercialized it. You can find more locally I guess. It is fun to watch and you had fellowship! God bless. You could plan a trip through the N. GA mountains. Dahlonega is famous for the gold rush attraction and the southern style family style Dillard House restaurant. They have at least 2 big flea markets. Helen is an old alpine style touristy town with authentic architecture. In October they celebrate Octoberfest with crowds from all over the southeast. There are lots of little towns with flea markets through N. GA but my favorite is Clarksville. There is a big flea market on the square and just outside town there is a huge flea market that used to be an old Walmart. I am in the ATL area and the prices up there are much better than down here in the "flat lands". Also, Ellijay has a huge apple festival where you can buy apples and pumpkins all around that area complete with authentic hay rides.

You sure did find some really nice stuff!! Did I miss the garden cart that someone picked up for aunt penny? LOVE the chalkboard! Would be darling to drape a little flag banner from corner to corner or little ornaments at Christmas, but have them hooked up at the top in the center too, then hang a little wreath from there.
We went to northern OH on Saturday and hubby wanted to go back on Sunday, so we drove back the same route, but in reverse direction (we live in north central Indiana). I should do a video of my haul(s). I feel like we did pretty good. I did hold back some, but still came home with some cool stuff at good prices. Some folks were wheelin’ and dealin’ on Saturday and Sunday. Got a few nice Free things too, but not much for that.

You ladies found some awesome pieces! Yes..Tonys is a sweetheart😊 Kayla the picture you got of the little girl & her puppy dog.. I've been looking for that one! First one I seen! I have the little boy & his bunny, they sort of go together (kind of like blue boy & pinkie) Now that i've finally seen someone with it, I know its out there & hopefully I'll find one🙏🏻🤞🏼 I love the little matching sets!! I'm pretty sure my little boy picture is in the same frame. I wish i could take a picture & send it to you but all my things are in storage right now. We've recently moved from TN to Florida & staying with my son while we look for a house, so all my things are in storage in TN right now🫤 Ughh can't stand the thought of it! But I loved all yalls finds. My MIL lives in SC just across the NC line, a little area called the 'Sandhills'. Girl the mosquito's down there have SS numbers & will bust your windshield if you hit one while driving😂 We use to go swimming in her pool at night, they would have a complete party on top of our head, we had to keep our body under water so they didn't carry us off! 😂 They must be related to the ones there where you live! Enjoyed tagging along on your road trip! Hope you ladies have a blessed weekend🙏🏻 😊

@@auntiepennylane1958 i went & done some research.. the 'boy & his rabbit' is an old antique piece originally painted in 1814 by Sir Henry Raeburn. But the picture of the little girl they had matched with it wasn't the little girl & her puppy, it was just a little girl, no pet ..When i bought it i was told wrong🤷‍♀️ I just figured there was a picture that went with it & I guess that's the one the lady though was the set. I knew mine was really on OLD & not home interior so i searched it. But if I find one of the girl g her puppy I'll still get it, i really like it😊and they'll still look good together, just have to put her in a wood frame. I tried to find the picture Kayla bought & searched it under home interior but i couldn't find it 🤷‍♀️ if i was her I'd do google Lens on it! Its so pretty! Yeah it rains here everyday, typical Florida weather🙄 but we got a tropical storm named Debby coming in tomorrow, if it don't into a hurricane. Looks like its coming into the Tampa bay area. I'm only 40 min from there, i live in a suburb of Tampa.. little town called Zephyrhills. The rain starts today it looks like. So the mosquitos, snakes & gators will be roaming the neighborhoods! Literally! My husband does the chemical lawn care for weeds, fungus & stuff like that.. he's run into 2 gators & 2 snakes so far, he stepped on one by a lanai Thursday & bout peed his pants girl!😂 He said it was huge! These creatures down here just have no regard for anyone's property! They just come right on up & make themselves right at home!😳 Its crazy!

Friday morning we did Signal Mtn to Pikeville, and returned to Chattanooga for the night. We weren't impressed with the vendors in Alabama on Thursday. We had much better luck yesterday on the Tennessee leg. (We rescue items and resell online to give them a new life.) Next year, we are going to do Crossville, TN and into Kentucky. Morning! That is a fire bucket, as a fire bucket it wouldn't have a hole in it. I have one painted red my Mom had. We were at Bear Creek Fire Dept when the storm hit last year. That is usually our turn back to Gadsden. We ended up going all the way to Collinsville to make it back. We wanted to eat at Top of the River. I'm sorry to hear the storm was so bad for folks there close to Noccalula Falls. We may go back in the future but like you are saying, it's a lot of work and the prices on vintage is pretty high. Love everything y’all got. I shopped at some of those same vendors. This year was a bit disappointing in the lack of general vintage items and the prices (some were pure fantasy prices). I did Signal Mtn to Clarkrange TN on Friday. Seemed to be more vintage the further north I went. On Saturday went from Mentone to Gadsden (I live in Alabaster) and found very little except at the vendors that I stop at every year. I stopped at Myrtle Jane’s also on Thursday on my way to Chattanooga and got 2 of my best bargains there. Next year I want to start in KY and go south. If you want to go to Signal Mtn from Mentone it’s best to just get on I-59 and take it to Chattanooga and get on 127 there. It’s quicker. Someone told me about a sale in the Sand Mtn area called the Mountain Trails 50 mile sale. It’s at the end of Aug / 1st of Sept. I’ve never heard of it but am going to try and go.

*Aunt Penny, my favorite items you found are the Scottie dog doorstop, the Ironstone Pitcher, the old green fan and the Kemps Ice Cream Tin - even though it is a reproduction. Kemps Company's Home Office is in St. Paul, MN, not very far from where I live. 😊*
*Kayla, my favorite items in your haul are the picture of the girl hugging her puppy dog, your darling, dimunitive Schnauzer china statuette, and your mesh sieve...WOW...FOR ONLY $4 DOLLARS⁉️💸 💵 🤯🙉🤷‍♀️ YOU SCORED BIG TIME‼️❣️😁*

We went on the 127 yard sale too, starting in Crossville, TN, the first day driving to KY the second day driving to Dunlap, TN. It was so hot and humid we almost got heat stroke. The prices this year were really high and there were fewer people selling. We didn't end up getting that much but the hunt was still fun!

OMG, I Have the girl with the dog picture on a tin, it's been with me since I was a girl. But I couldn't believe I have the little dog too, I think he is a little smaller and when I turned six we moved to a small town for a job opportunity for my dad. My parents just build a brand new house and hadn't even put the yard in yet when we moved to a duck shack with chicken wire around the bottom to keep the critters out. My poor mom cried for months, but the sacrifice paid off and they retired well and we still live in the community and I raised my kids here too. Anyway I found the little dog in the shack and treasured it, I even gifted to my papa and he had it until he passed and my grandmother ask if there was anything I wanted as I was an adult at that point, I said yes the little dog. I am in my late 56 now and he is one of my favorite tiny treasures. Love you gals, hope to run into you some day in the future, my daughter and my 5 grands live in Springville Al. but I am up in Northern California. Love the channel, blessings Angel💞

I’m from Florida and I have been going to the 127 for 7 years now. My favorite location is Tennessee & Kentucky. When I stay I google lodging near me any I search for deals. Most of the time I stay around 20 miles off of 127 and I save a lot of money. It’s usually more expensive to stay on 127.

I am from Wisconsin and we started where you did. We thought the prices were very high. We talked to some vendors and they said the prices for the spots went up. So they don’t think as many were out this year. This was my 3 time and could tell not as mamy😢

You are so funny…the real deal you are gonna be keeping.😂. You have the best Buster Brown already! Have you girls been to Canton Trade Days in Texas? It is held each month the weekend preceding the first Monday of the month..thus First Monday Trade Days. Suppose to be the US largest flea market (Thursday/Sunday). Not certain the prices will be as great as what you paid on this trip though. Glad you two had a good time.

I mentioned to y’all I have a booth in Brewton, Alabama I plan on going next week to work my booth and take pictures and video of my booth and any other booths you may be interested in. If you see something you like and can’t live without Valerie, the store owner ships and includes your shipping in your total. That’s if y’all can’t make it. If you do decide to come over one day I can put you on some good spots you may enjoy as well 😉❤️
