Chur bro to get your forklift licence in NZ you don't even need a full NZ drivers licence to do a forklift course you can do it on a learners licence and you can drive up to 18ton forklifts but you can only work in a no public area, to drive a forklift in car parks or on a road you would need an F endorsement through a course but you need a Full drivers licence. To drive a forklift heavier then 18tons you'd need to have a Class 2/4 on your driver's licence.

Welcome to New Zealand. Unfortunately no. You must have a NZ full licence before you can get any endorsements. You can get forklift OSH with your licence only
