Realism is not for everyone. Some prefer to live in a fantasy world. In the real world great powers act like selfish kids in a playground. They don't care, they just do what it's in their best interest. The strongest wins. This applies for all of them.
'Realist School' is just an excuse for academics to get tenure by restating what Thucydides wrote in the Melian Dialogues ;) Nothing changes because human nature doesn't change.
Realism is not about appeasement or force to submit to power, you can throw this realism nonsense back to Putin, if you invade Ukraine except get punch back to your face.
Get your facts straight! The real world has started to move away from old destructive patterns based on power competition. The real world cares about sustainability.
There is middle ground between Mearsheimer's nihilistic realism and fantasy world. How else could the free Western democratic world have emerged from thousands of years of authoritarian rule if not by the principle of hope, and the power to change something it sets free?
Few people have the ability to express such complex ideas in a way that the lay audience can understand. It signifies a strong grasp of their knowledge on the subject. John is a masterful communicator and his theories on what is going on in Ukraine have yet to be challenged. Damn, I love this guy!
"his theories on what is going on in Ukraine have yet to be challenged", he's just drawing back the curtains a bit to draw support for his favored cold war 2 with china. He's totally up for a proxy war w/ china using taiwan, and only differs from the neocons in looking to ally w/ russia in that nuclear conflict.

It has always been Russian, even after the cold war. This is just another attempt at regime change, because the last 6 years of lies didn't work. In the meantime, guess who witnessed the fall of the Soviet Union? Guess who learned how to topple governments without firing a shot? Ukraine is Russian and they are reclaiming it. His understanding of the American foreign policy establishment is pretty much flawless. *BUT AND ITS A HUGE BUT* this man is part of the other side of American political ideology "realists" who are some of the most disgusting ideologically driven people the planet has ever seen. Not even close to a true statement and no, I'm not from the United States. 1. A vast percentage of the United States don't believe in God and their leftism is obviously not of religion or god worship. 2. Most actual religious people of the U.S., people like me, could care less what the rest of the world does. All I care about is my community, my freedom, my family and our land. 3. What aggression the west is involved in is done by a small minority of politicians and bankers and it's on the Global scale that these decisions are made whether you or I like it or not. 4. I truly believe other nations should get their own shit together, I wouldn't pay dime to taxes to be involved in other countries affairs for any reason. 5. I suppose being Canadian I really am an American just not of the US and my biggest concern is the shit hole Commie Government in my own country and the fight we have coming. So no, I don't give a shit about the destinies of other nations, frankly they can rot in hell, starve, succeed, live in caves, be socialist or communist or whatever they want and if their people aren't happy, which I'm sure they aren't, they should fight back, not us. If your Governments or Dictators make shitty business deals with us that's your problem the same way if I make shitty deal with a local businessman that's my problem. All people should be 100% self sufficient and working their own land, there shouldn't be any dependence on anyone and therefore no opening for evil to extort you, all people should suffer the consequences of their actions and they should be responsible for themselves and they should pass or fail by their own devices, everywhere should be a meritocracy. 6. Right, well Europe couldn't stop fighting each other in a major war every twenty years or so before the US reluctantly entered the second world war, so, it's really been a pretty good run. The world brought the US into the fighters circle, the US wanted to just stay home and take care of themselves, for the most part, before that conflict. Careful what you ask for. 7. This is a tricky one, I completely believe that all Governments are now evil but I still love the way of life we live or expect to live in North America and anyone who doesn't is an evil prick who just wants to control others. 8. Take for example a society that subjugates their woman, beats them like animals and kills them if someone else rapes them, well, that's just rapist/serial killer society in my opinion but if that's what you build it's all yours. Now, I am a right winger but I don't own any women in my life and I don't make decisions for them, they are free like everyone else to do what or even who they want, the consequences of their actions belong to them not me. You see, what I'm getting at is that most other cultures and nations out there are run by or Governed by people who's only desire is to control others and if that's your desire then you're evil. Again, stay in your dog house and/or own yard and I could care less but the problem with those desiring more all the time, just more and those who desire to control others can't resist stepping off their own yard and trying to control everyone else around them. We should get rid of all authority institutions everywhere and if we end up fighting like tribes in a field so be it, at least the casualties are low, they don't effect the entire world, they don't poison the entire world forever and the matter is settled quickly. 8. As far as exceptionalism goes well, they do win a lot of medals at the Olympics and that's because they understand that you should work hard for success and success is a good thing. As a Canadian I can't stand our attitude of participation is all that matters and everyone gets a medal, or sportsmanship or our reputation for being "nice". Screw that, I compete hard to win and second is first of the losers, I do the same thing at work and only losers and whiners and lazy people expect something for nothing. So, overall, the U.S. has been exceptional in many ways. The only civilization on earth to guarantee rights in a Constitution to their people and worshipping a God is up to each individual,,,,it's a choice. Don't you worry, the leftists are trying to turn into a shithole Commie Dictatorship and you should hope they lose because those kind of people never run out of steam when it comes to butting into other people's business.

@Aditya Chavarkar Russia has plenty of candidates to vote for. But because Putin rebuilt their country and saved, the Russians love him and keep voting for him. @Aditya Chavarkar America regime changed Ukraine in 2014 installing a corrupt, puppet leader, who's sole purpose is to be anti-Russia, pro-US. America funds neonazi groups in the region and WANTS war in Ukraine to profit off its weapon sales. Look at Azov Battalion, look at Right Sector. Of course Russia won't allow NATO to install missiles in Ukraine that can reach Moscow in minutes. See Cuban Missile Crisis. NATO wants Russia broken up into pieces like it wants China and India to break apart. So they can't challenge American hegemony. Make NO MISTAKE, it's the US who DOOMED UKRAINIANS. America is the most warmongering empire to ever exist and their military controls their government. No surprises here.
@Aditya Chavarkar Because her comments are tinged with neoliberal, western colonizer rhetoric. She blindly regurgitates what her neocon media says. Completely oblivious how it's the West that intends to fodderize Ukrainians to damage Russia, its geopolitical challenge. US doesn't want peace settlements or negotiations. It wants forever wars to make money. US drops 46+ bombs a day onto other countries. It. Wants. War! It is in Russia's national interests to prevent Ukraine becoming a more militarized anti Russia project. It's just objectively the case.

I'M TAKING A BOW FOR PROFESSOR EFFORTS!
@Aditya Chavarkar Meanwhile, as Kiev still stands irrespective of the fact that it doesn't inhabit the Ukraine in it's entirety, Russia has now taken over a landmass as large as Hungary and Slovakia combined. I'd say thats a win cause the Ukraine military is all but done for.
Check out one of the RUclips interviews of Swiss born Jacques Baud, a NATO Ukraine expert, agrees with John and keys on the destruction of the Minsk Accords by Zelensky and the West despite the fact that those agreements were guaranteed by France, Germany and the UN. Baud makes a big deal out of working entirely with public declarations and declarations coming from the West. And why should Russia fear US inspired regime change? Ask the people of Iraq, Afghanistan, Serbia or Libya.
Eric, I was also impressed by Jacques Baud's take on the war. I was surprised this didn't come at all in either Professor Mearsheimer's lecture or in the discussion. According to Baud, the war really started on December 16 with the much heavier bombardment of rebel-held parts of Donbass by the Kyiv government. This led directly to the recognition of the DPR and the LPR by Russia on February 22 and two days later to the invasion of Ukraine. Russia said that the invasion was legal under national law, as they were just exercising their right to protect (R2P) countries with which they were allied. Whether or not you agree with the Russian government's view (why didn't they just feed the DPR and the LPR weapons for a while without invading?) it seemed a little odd that it didn't even come up for discussion. I just got Baud's book "Terrorisme: Mensonges politiques et stratégies fatales de l'Occident" from the library, but haven't had a chance to read it yet.
Mearsheimer began beating the Ukraine-NATO expansion drum in 2015. He might not have been fully up on the Minsk accords or familiar with Baud. If you read French, Baud has just published a book about Putin. Maybe Donetsk attacks was the final straw for Putin, but just helping rebels would have done nothing about NATO, Ukraine neutrality and Kyiv recognition of a Russian Crimea & Donbass. This war isn't over yet and is very dangerous - I've heard Russia is considering mobilization to finish off Ukraine if things go sideways between China and Taiwan. And things are going sideways there now - God help us, but Biden and Blinken are utterly incompetant. Come down ultra hard on Russia when every geopolitical thinker in Washington thinks we should be looking at Asia? Of course it's just another place to lose a war if we don't show some wisdom. I fear a mobilized Russia would beat NATO, and I don't see what we could do to protect Taiwan except lose some carriers as a kind of grand gesture. This remains very dangerous.
I think that we have to remember that the war in Georgia started with the Georgian forces firing the first shots. I didn't believe that when I first read it, but the UN later did an investigation and concluded that, indeed, the Georgians had started the shooting? Why did they do that? Apparently, because Dick Cheney (whose former foreign policy advisor, Victoria Nuland, was the ambassador NATO at the Bucharest summit) told Saakashvili that they had American support. George Bush apparently then concluded that he actually was President of the United States, refused to support Georgia, and, according to people in the administration, all but stopped listening to Cheney after that event. So, it's worth mentioning that the US was, apparently, quite involved in starting the 2008 war as well.
This was a great talk, the Q&A by neolib grad students is aggressive and Prof Mearsheimer sheds it like water off a ducks back. His interpretation is so obviously true when you're not subject to the illusions of western thought.
Very disappointing from John. Putin is an unstable man. All the politicians and journalists that were either threatened, poisoned or shot and he says we must take him on his word. Talks about NATO being an existential threat but never mentions the lie about chasing men around with Nazi tattoos . Remember that's why this so-called special operation was initiated. John it's time you be honest. Putin only cares about his position, his dictatorship. Losing tens of thousands of troops just to maintain his leadership.and power. A quite clear farcical system where he always is re-elected almost unopposed.

Yes! Yes! Yes!. One of the questions was asked by a professor who kept on pontificating "democracy". Democracy for who? What everyday person in Europe has had their lives improved from NATO actions in Libya or Afghanistan? At best in Europe we get social democracy yet still its a small band of elites serving US empire that are running our foreign policies.

@@jamesli5764 Yes, you are obviously correct, I just meant to say that in Putins speech about the collapse, that everyone refers to, the main emphasis was on what the collapse meant to the Russian people and how in one days tens of millions of Russians were no longer citizens of Russia and were forced to adapt to a new reality abroad (which in some cases was becoming pretty hostile) and how due to huge problems in Russia at that time no one did anything to try to reunite Russian people

Professor John J's views is literally the views generally shared in Africa (especially South Africa). For us, the argument that US and Europe (NATO) are fighting for democracy is really strange and unbelievable. US and Europe were the last people to come to the table when we fought for democracy against apartheid literally 20 decades ago. Infact, those who were prominent in fight for democracy were on the terrorists' list in the US. It was only in 1998 that Nelson Mandela was removed from that list. On the contrary, Russia was amongst the few European countries who supported our struggle (not necessarily doing it for democracy but they were key in bringing about that democracy). We also have the US experience with Libya, the propaganda they used to destroy that country and later exploited it.
It’s the view that’s generally shared by everyone outside of EU, US, canada, Australia and NZ. West lives in a bubble and thinks everyone else sees things the way they do, hence they have no problem exporting their ideology and overthrowing governments they don’t like and are genuine astonished when someone speaks out against them.

Russia isnt afraid of democracy, its what "democratic government" actually means. In US terms its someone doing what they want. Jelcin was "democratic" and they remember what they got out of it. Every country that is not in line, gets pressured via this.
You need to distinguish between "Russia" and Putin. Putin should be afraid of democracy. It threatens his autocracy. That is why he helped Lukashenko put down the democratic protests in Belarus. That is why he helped the dictator Assad put down the Arab Spring, mercylessly bombing in Syria. That is why He tried to poison Navalny and now has him in Prison. That is why many other opponents have been killed. It was a successful democracy in Ukraine that threatened his approval in Russia.
All democracies decay and collapse after 250 or so years. Mob rule. That's what we have in America. 1:33:50 Well, if you sincerely believe that the color revolutions were solely organic, evolving internally within those countries strictly from a ground swell of popular support. Then you could make the argument (wrongly so) that Russia (not solely Putin) is existentially threatened by democracies. I'm inclined to think, you do not sincerely believe that is the case, but rather you are just trying to promote that idea. I find it highly unlikely you're not aware of the Nuland machinations in Maidan, which you frame as merely a breakdown in the relation between Ukraine and the EU. Then similarly gloss over 2003 Georgia intel operation putting in that odiously corrupt brutal puppet Mikheil Saakashvili in power, and you ignore the civilian massacre that was narrowly avoided, only thanks to Russian invention saving those people from the Georgian army in 2008 South Ossetia. Now if you honestly acknowledge the color revolutions were mostly a result of the efforts directly by western intel agencies and indirectly via western based regime change NGO's which are inturn supported by those western intel agencies and/or wealthy individuals for their own monetary gains or ideological goals, then you can draw more prescient conclusions. The Russians who would have been already worried about various destabilization events happening on their border, are aware of the external manipulations which only magnifies their concerns. This creates the political desire and imperative in the Kremlin for an intervention. That of course nullifies your contrived thesis.

Realism vs post-modernism: no points of common reference because post-modernists do not believe there is such a thing as reality. Therefore they cannot understand why having a whole load of nuclear weapons aimed directly at you from a short distance away is threatening. Much theorising and obscurantist verbiage needed to divert attention from these simplicities that a child can understand. My main problem with the excellent JM is that he persists in talking about 'democracy', which his stupid opponents also do. Could we just accept that American foreign policy has absolutely nothing to do with democracy? Either in its prosecution (accountability to the public at home) or its implementation (subversion, coups, economic threat, invasion and proxy war, etc). Democracy is the most debased term in US propaganda today
Prof Mearscheimer is I guess just too modest to say that he's been warning what would happen over Ukraine for years on end, in the clearest terms possible, and has been vindicated to the letter. Whereas what his opponents say contributes nothing to finding solutions. The fools who argue with his warnings now are not only beside the point but colluding with the forces promoting nuclear war.

If you are going to invoke realism, you should acknowledge NATO had no plans to place nukes in Ukraine, and NATO does not have nukes pointed at Russia. Furthermore, the Russian nuclear doctrine clearly states when the five hands can authorize a strike. As such, defending Ukraine does not satisfy the existential threat required. Regarding US foreign policy, democracy has always been the core. You are conflating mistakes as a standing policy. All the coups, invasions, proxy wars, etc., have been motivated by ensuring democracy prevails even when the results were detrimental to that goal - i.e., Iran, Chile, Vietnam, etc. Unfortunately, you are passing judgment with the benefit of hindsight and not evaluating the motives regarding US decisions. Lastly, JM is incorrect in his beginning premise - NATO did not play a crucial role in Putin's decision to invade Ukraine. Putin has agency, and he made a decision. The US and NATO is merely a scapegoat. He goes on to be wrong about everything he claims. Ukraine wanted to join NATO because Russia continued to threaten its security. A diplomatic solution is impossible when an adversary's stated ambition is conquest. Putin is solely responsible for this war. Suppose you don't believe me about US and NATO being scapegoats to justify Putin's hegemony. In that case, you only have to look at Transnistria and Putin's playbook to conquer Moldova, which was not seeking to join NATO.
Absolutely agree with you, Michael. I have watched a lot too. This lecture must be heard by all western leaders. Maybe something positive will click in their brains.
I am surprised at how under educated he is in military matters. Russia definitely intended to take all of Ukraine. They did the closest thing to a blitzkrieg that they could and attacked along every axis of every border of Ukraine. The only reason they only attacked with 200,000 people and didn’t get the whole country is that they literally don’t have the people to do it. They removed their conscription age and are now admitting unfit men into their military to make up for losses. They also felt the need to keep their borders and Moscow defended from possible NATO counter attack. Make no mistake they would have taken all of Ukraine if they could have and they’re slowly on their way to doing so.
I love the fact that these people are supposed (certainly in their own views) to be the cleverest of intellectuals, can’t count to 2 and abide by a basic instruction. And this man has served in the army, which I’m pretty sure none of the other armchair warlords in the room have. A great presentation from a man with an opinion who for once regards the West as having causal responsibility in part for this mess. Thank God for more than one view from the uniparty.
Why isn't American LNG vs Russian natural gas not being mentioned as the main factor behind military deployments and diplomatic strategies? US started framing Europe gas imports as "a dependency" to avoid and an "urge" for alternatives the moment they found themselves with a huge surplus thanks to fracking their own soil to unlivability and tainted their own water undrikable
There is no democracy in the "liberal west". There are only republics or constitutional monarchies that would all fall under the old Aristotelian label of oligarchies that nowadays are masquerading as democracies. Employing the democratic methodology of electing representatives for political parties, when political parties are ultimately prone to succumb to the Iron Law of Bureaucracy, in societies that are already under the Iron Law of Oligarchy, only serves as a legitimizing circus, when the actual decision process is all done under the Dutch method, that means in secrecy and with absolute no transparency, and under the premise of consensus... For the population at large, a strong executive aligned with hoi polloi is a better political outcome than what presently exists in West, EU (where democracy has died long time ago and the unelected technocrats rule) as well as US.
Dr Mearsheimer, always executing that beatdown flawlessly. Citizens of America need to wake up, rub their eyes and really see their 'leaders' for who and what they really are.

'Realist School' is just an excuse for academics to get tenure by restating what Thucydides wrote in the Melian Dialogues ;)
Nothing changes because human nature doesn't change.
It is not just world powers
Realism is not about appeasement or force to submit to power, you can throw this realism nonsense back to Putin, if you invade Ukraine except get punch back to your face.
Get your facts straight! The real world has started to move away from old destructive patterns based on power competition. The real world cares about sustainability.
There is middle ground between Mearsheimer's nihilistic realism and fantasy world. How else could the free Western democratic world have emerged from thousands of years of authoritarian rule if not by the principle of hope, and the power to change something it sets free?

A US military veteran said what Russia did in Kyiv is really smart.he went on to explain that, sending 40000 troops to the city is not to take the city of over 2 million, it’s impossible but it gave Ukraine that impression so they pulled almost all their resources to fortify the city then Russia retreated going after their main target eastern Ukraine. Splitting Ukraine army is the key to winning because it’s weakens Ukraine. If Ukraine moves out of Kyiv they get hit by Missiles so they travel in small groups in civilian cars to reinforce their positions in the east. Anyway in the end I hope some kind of deal is done.

Colonel Macgregor considers Ukraine already lost. The statement coming from Ukraine actually confirms that.
In your dreams
Minsk accords went the way of Budapest memorandums. Soon Ukraine will liberate Kherson and then roll back Russians in Lugansk.
…Don’t forget Guatemala, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Bolivia,Panamá, Chile, Argentina, Paraguay, Brasil, El Salvador Etc..Etc..

He has been correct in what? That the invasion would not happen? As an Eastern European I really fear these big-guys-matter-only theories which would in the end hand over the Eastern Europe to Russia again.
@@calicocat8213, well, Mearsheimer did predict that the USA would launch a geopolitical contest with China. The USA may not be successful, however. Australia is clearly on the American side.
BTW, Mearsheimer does not say that the West needs to embrace a multipolar world. He said that the USA would resist with all its might the emergence of new power poles. That goes against history, and that is the "tragedy of great power politics". People are sacrificed for geopolitical ends.
@@miroslavdusin4325 , Mearsheimer was right that Russia drew a red line and that Russia would wreck Ukraine rather that allow it to join NATO. He predicted that very early on.
Mearsheirmer's Realist theory explains American foreign policy since the fall of the the Soviet Union. American foreign policy has been a disaster and wasted the peace dividend. During the unipolar moment, the resources would have been better used to solve climate change and achieve sustainable development goals that would have increased American prestige and improve the world.
@@richiesd1 You are absolutely correct. 👍
it's criminal that there ws such a small live audience, thank budha for the internet.
There's another scenario. America could tuck its ego in its pants, mind its own business and stop acting like it's ruler of the world.
That's impossible. The real decision-makers are Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Thalès and the other arms manufacturers. The Ukraine war is a wonderful opportunity for profits and dividends, way beyond the success of the Afghan and other occupations/invasions. And it's the Ukrainian Nazis who are doing the fighting (although there is a tinpot British general who wants to send his troops in there too). What could be more perfect?
clown
Agree. And this is not a war but military operation against NATO and AZOV Nazis. EU and US are so hypocritical. EU is now suffering from high Inflation. EU has ignored the massacre of Donbas region by AZOV Nazi

@@ontheland5055 hello, clown. I agree US fails to realise it cant act as 20 years ago, it doesnt have such influence for a long time already.
They just had to poke the bear. Well now they know what happens
Dr. Mearsheimer’s point is clear. The USA runs and dictates NATO and no opposition is regarded as a serious possibility. Not when they really want the goods be delivered. Democracy is an oxymoron in today’s politics.
Putin himself said he wants to be the new Peter the Great.
Not sure why Mearsheimer is trying to make long winded convoluted arguments, to explain away Putin's own comments.
@@farzana6676
Because Putin was trolling when he said that ... why not ... Biden and crew does it every day.
It is apparent you don't know democracy and possibly prefer living under an autocratic kleptocrat who steals the fruits of your labors and gives it to his girl friends and other thuggish cronies.
@@farzana6676 LMAO Bush said he would bring democracy to Afghanistan and Iraq... now Afghanistan is a opium den where children starve to death on the streets and Iraq is still illegally occupied.
@@farzana6676 There are hints that his analysis of Putin's motivation might not be correct. Most famous probably the quote of Putin that the destruction of the UDSSR was the greatest catastrophe of modern history. This doesn't sound like a man who fully accepted the new situation and is only concerned about security for Russia.

This should shame media and academe into doing real research using primary documents and records and referencing every line of their reports and articles to history and context.
The scary part today in the US and Europe, are how the government controls the mainstream media.
Only lies, cover up for corrupt leaders.
They are destroying Europe and the US economy on purpose, even most people knew how self-destructive those sanctions against Russia were.
It's insanity, politicians and their wealthy friends would not be suffering.
Ordinary people would suffer, leaders don't care about their own citizens.
This guy talking about Russia fearing democracy is either too young or just forgetful about Western countries undermining democracy in developing countries while claiming to promote it. Otherwise how can you think the far right in Ukraine that has a big influence on Ukrainian politics is democratic.
Or they have a scewed up understanding of what a democracy is 😂
It ls clear lie, about far right and politics in Ukraine. I am from Ukraine. We have 1 seat in parliament with far-right views. We had 2.5% in 2015. We have no far-right in the whole government of Ukraine (prime ministers etc). We have far-right government only in russian's propaganda narrative.
@@Truthorfib Or the west has a very narrow understanding of what democracy means, and apparently only two party systems where a small clique of billionaires control almost all public discourse count, and the only political issues up for any debate are which people get to use which bathroom, and whether rich people pay no tax or a tiny amount of tax.
Not just a big influence. The only influence. Ukraine banned all opposition parties other than the far right coalition. And people still think Ukraine is "fighting for democracy"
It's gotten beyond ridiculous at this point.
@@jaypeters5224 Ukraine does NOT banned any opposition party. We SUSPENDED only parties who get their finances from russia. 90% of leaders of this parties escaped from Ukraine on February 23, most are in russia now. Because of this people, there is a war in my country. Also, we do not have far right coalition, we do not have even far-right party in parliament. Where do you get your information? From russian tv propaganda?
Some of the questions by the other scholars made me actually lose braincells. Imagine calling the CIA backed coup in Ukraine in 2014 a push for democracy
That's it. Democracy in the USA definition is the power of the strongest - hence the NATO military forces and accountability of "democratic" countries' leaders to the USA, - which contradicts the original definition of democracy.
@@seannybgoodes American foreign policy is based on the interests of wall street and the military industrial complex, it's not voted on by the American people.
@@seannybgoodes That's not the case. The policy is bi-partisan and the electorate get no mainstream counter-information meaning they have no real choice
Best summary of the Ukraine conflict I've seen, and I've seen A LOT.
The one questioner was a total prick. I wish he answered his question right away in better detail
Absolutely agree with you, Michael. I have watched a lot too. This lecture must be heard by all western leaders. Maybe something positive will click in their brains.
a lecture full of pro-putin's bullshit
Alexander Mercouris at 'The Duran' also gives very insightful up-to-date comments.
what a sensible view
By the way, that question or rather tantrum at 1:45 😂 what a weasel of a man, just sums up woke Europe. Really impressed with John’s patience though.
He was so self righteous and arrogant. He is a great example of how mentally unwell the west has become
You’re a warrior Prof Mearsheimer facing this group think paranoid assembly.
I agree.
Yes!
I love the fact that these people are supposed (certainly in their own views) to be the cleverest of intellectuals, can’t count to 2 and abide by a basic instruction. The moderator requests no more than one short question and all embark on rambling multiple questions trying to discredit the speaker.
Questions about methodology are important.
So is experience. And this man has served in the army, which I’m pretty sure none of the other armchair warlords in the room have.
A great presentation from a man with an opinion who for once regards the West as having causal responsibility in part for this mess.
Thank God for more than one view from the uniparty.

Thanks for your comment.
(Western) democracy is a special form of oligarchy. It was designed as that from the beginning.
It's important for this information to get out. The swamp is leading us to catastrophe.

But one question... if the US policy of NATO expansion towards Russia is "crazy" then it would seem that there is a hidden hand behind it! And that hidden hand suggest itself as the elephant in the room which is seldom if ever talked about; that being the elite agenda for a NWO and "World Government"
Bravery? He is completely confused and his values are misaligned.
There is nothing brave in repeating disproven theories. Once Ukraine offered neutrality (or earlier when Germany blocked NATO expansion) Putin's demands should be over. But they aren't.
He lost on 24feb, 'realist' theories were disproven. So? He didn't reflect. He changed into 'training with NATO instructors makes you a de facto member - absurd!!!
I don't see him as brave. I see him as a knowledgeable man, willing to speak out, make himself unpopular to those that are, 'Supporting the current thing', and having a broader understanding of situations. Whether it be enpowered by money or power, (Very closely linked), or by politics, the situation is far more complex than the so-called msm journalists appear to realise. The msm just replace the history of something with their own narrative on the side of the majority, perpetuated by their own loop of ignorance and affinity to them that are in charge at that time.
Knowledge is power.. more power to him!
