superJeremiah you are disrespecting the Lord by misrepresenting his Word the Bible is clear we are saved when we walk with Jesus. Born Again & Save - both are used in scripture by Paul Jesus Himself & others!!! The word says don't judge by outward appearances. Jesus said what comes out of a man it what contaminates him. If Crowder is living in sin that's a different thing. Hair or a beard- please! Where's the love & compassion of Christ? Jesus had a beard & long hair. Was he a sinner??? Judging in scripture is for redemptive purposes. We are told to point out sin NOT TRADITION OR OPINION. That's the same kind of brick wall Jesus came up against with the religious people & leaders of the day. In these cases he said, "If your righteousness does not EXCEED that of the pharisees who practice outward laws by have no heart relationship with God, you will to enter Heaven." IF someone is in rebellion to the Word they are to be corrected. If they don't listen, they are to be put out of the body in order for them to see the error of their ways, repent & come back into the family. I hesitate even discussing this, but when we criticize each other instead if going directly to each other we do great harm to the gospel. The Bible says speak the truth in love - God's truth, not our own or our denominational stance-it's not always supported by scripture. This is hard to see if this is all you have been told all your life. Please let's not soil the gospel by being hateful to our brother publicly.
Jesus didn't just live by faith He lived by perfect obedience, and if He hadn't He couldn't have saved anyone. The quote you give has nothing to do with that - it's saying you can't fool God, like you can people, because He knows your secrets. We can easily tell someone's heart: first out of the mouth the heart speaks, and second their relationship with Christ depend entirely on obedience (read John chapter 14) so where we see wilful disobedience to clear and simple commands we see someone not yet fully converted. Who ever you are, you have no right to judge David Crowder for what he sings. God told us not to judge or he shall be judged also. David Crowder is spreading the words of love and the good news. For that I have highly respect for and that is our job as Christian's is to spread the word of God so many many people out there will know who is the King.

Sorry Nathan, your reply didn't come to my inbox so I've only just seen it by logging into this video again to try teaching the uninitiated the facts of Christian life their churches should be teaching them! Briefly the Bible says 4 relevant things here that churches don't teach in case it makes them unpopular and the offerings go down: first we're not saved, we're only born again, and we need to persevere if we are to inherit what's been promised - even Paul didn't think he was "saved." Second there's no love for Jesus, nor will He make His home with us apart from obedience to His commands in God's words. Third the Scripture says if men and women swap appearances it's an abomination, and therefore long hair is a DISGRACE to a man. And fourth the Scripture also says that for a man to wear any kind of head covering in church dishonours Christ, so we're not to do it - woman on the other hand are told they must do it. These are simple practical instructions, but where there's any hesitancy about obeying them conversion is not complete. God bless.
