Don´t bother spoiling energy on people trying making fun of your work Chad.
The " weapon " is to silence them out and let them spoil their energy on all the nagativity .
I´m sure they just envy you, your life, your skills, your personality and all you stand for.
You and Jolene keep up the good work.

Dear Brother Chad, After I've sat in the shadows like most . . . always getting the awesome free advice you teach; today I have decided after all this time to subscribe to your channel and pay you the compliment of being the most humble and knowledgeable, easy speaking and uncomplicated source of bodywork and paint that I've studied on RUclips> We all appreciate you Chad and the Queen Jolene. I have become in one year a far better fabricator, welder and car painter. Thank you for your innovative wisdom, lighthearted humor and kindness in service. You make all of us boys a better man. I've never welded. Don't own a welder (yet). I've learned so much by watching Chad and Jolene weld that I'm going to try. I've learned to leave a gap so you get good penetration; enlarge your punch hole so you can bring the weld up over the surface; weld with 6" spacing so you con't overheat or warp. Use air to help cool the metal; remember to wait for the weld to "cool" off before moving on to the next one; when you are welding "in a row", start your next weld right next to the previous weld so they touch. I'm gaining confidence and just turned 77.

I just love the way Chad shows how he thinks through how to accomplish what he ultimately wants to achieve. Makes me think, "heck I could do that too", however unlikely it would be that I'd even try. The motivation Chad gives me has nothing to do with building cars, it's more general than that. It's more process & attitude than result.

But, I can understand why Chad felt like he needed to say what he did.
The man gets made fun of, by not only people like the guy he "called out", but also many times by people who leave comments on these videos.
It's not always easy for those things to just "roll off like water on a duck's back", for most people.

Its not our issue, we love Chad and Jolene for what they do every day. Their good nature, good morals, should not be diminished especially not by themselves. As I said it is just not a good look. They have the choice what they film and share, everyone is human.

      @@christopherpeterson1400 no doubt.
And, if I were the one who was being made fun of......in my youth, I let it get to me. And I fought back.
Now, in old age, such things roll off my back, because I have grown to become a grumpy old a**.... unlike what Chad normally appears to be.
I have found, that many times, when upbeat people get made fun of, it strikes them deeper than they want to admit.
Yes, I watch for the builds.
But I won't begrudge Chad if he needs to "vent" while working.

There is a vast difference between a fabricator and an assembler. I don't know who that guys is you spoke of in the beginning of this episode... quite frankly... I don't care! Your eye/vision for fabrication is completely unique to your personality. For anyone else to say your process is right or wrong is just silly and shows a juvenile understanding of the art. I have found myself a number of times thinking... I would do that another way! Then I consciously hold my thought and watch through your entire process. 99.9% of the time I find that the process you've used to reach the result is as good or better than the way I had thought to do it! That very process provides valuable life learned understanding! No doubt making many of us better fabricators! Do you brother! You and Jolene are well deserving our thanks and adulation for sharing the process.~ R/

And in that case; If you are going to fire a shot across a man's bow you had better expect retaliation, LOL.
The more you are adding to the truck, the more I realize that a lot of what it will look like is going to be real dependent on the color scheme and you probably already have that in your head.
There is a lot going on there and the right two tone paint job would show of all the different things happening in that design.
I can't wait to see what you do with it color wise. That's going to be an insane little truck and with all that open space you should be able to negate the blind spots by just turning around and looking outside of the rig.

I agree with alanhartley173, take the sharp corner out at the front edge of the seat. A nice radius there would look great. I've said this before, but I'll say it again... This is one of the best channels on RUclips. I have learned so much from you Chad, so much so that I cut the rotten floor out of my classic mini and replaced it. With the basics you taught us on this channel. Thanks for your constant inspiration, knowledge and kind nature. You truly are a gentleman.

Chad, you've been nothing but encouraging to viewers to attempt building something. Many times I've heard you downplay how difficult something you built by saying anyone can do it. That's not the talk of a braggart, but of a humble man. I worked as a bodyman over 40 years ago. I did anything from full paint jobs to wreck repairs to rust work. I can tell you first hand that you have a unique skill set. How many people can build a car in 30 days? Not many... And I don't always like what another person designs, but I respect the hell out of them for trying. Craig needs a lesson in humility and and maybe walk in another man's shoes before deciding to ridicule your work. He needs to build something before talking. Sorry for the long post, but I appreciate your work. And thanks to Jolene for the great camera work. God bless.

@@grahamsatherley7996 Chad is innovative, and a bit unorthodox in his approach at times. The big difference was that I was repairing damaged vehicles. There was no designing or creativity involved. In fact, I worked flat rate most of my life, so speed was essential...especially with a family to feed at home. I truly appreciate Chad's talent and enjoy his builds.

Don't forget to drill a 1/2 inch drain hole....... for wash water and rain water if you're at a outdoor event . No need to pull the tires to sop up water .

Suggestions: Drain hole in the spare tire well? When sitting in driver seat you have a sharp point in the cab metal by your left knee. Ouch! If you removed that sharp point by following the curve of the hand rail into that new cut-out you would have a sleek body line and no sharp point to catch your clothes. Just some discussion points to ponder.

If it doesn't bother Chad, why bring it up 7 + times and laughing at the guy. This is first time, I've seen Chad act like a bully. He started out talking about it and laughing, no need to keep talking and laughing throughout this whole video.
