Sue running in circles instead of attacking the enemy right next to her will never stop being funny to me

One of the first J-rgp I finished as a teenager, back then the game made a huge impression and had such a wonderful sense of great adventure. The second part was a nice contrast: a darker atmosphere and a sense of impending doom, it's a shame the creator died so young.

Lunar the Silver Star on Sega CD is what really got me into JRPGs.

Fell in love with this game after playing it on the Sega Saturn. The PS1 version is great but the Saturn version is better.

I don't know if this is really a spiritual successor to Lunar. That game series was a joint effort between GameArts and Studio Alex. Grandia was more of a "we can do this without you" title after they went their separate ways. They were aiming it as a competitor to FF7 as opposed to carrying on the legacy of Lunar. This is further evident that GameArts still hold the rights to Lunar and has re-released existing titles long after Studio Alex went bankrupt due to legal battle in 2003.

Playstation "Pocket". Now that make me laugh. I hope you know that's incorrect, if not, its Playstation Portable (PSP)

Grandia has a lot of good qualities, but it is a very flawed game. Finding your way around the towns is a damn pain. The Lunar games hold up way better.

To be fair in grandias case id say it's the ps1's port that really has that issue since the ground texture got messed up when it was ported over from Sega saturn to ps1. It's way a lot better navigating the game in the saturn original then the ps1 port.

Game was so high quality, well made, beautiful, but I couldn't get into it! It was too cozy, too much talking to townsfolk. Guess I'm just an edgelord!
