I have that rifle in 45 colt... Rifle runs just perfect with any ammo as long as i stay under 265 grain leads. Anything bigger n the action wont cycle. Just love shooting underwoods bit hotter then cowboy load flat nose 250 grain threw it. It shoots the underwood 250 grain HP +P the same. Just a bit flatter 4 more range. Very nice guns.... 👍👍👍
Nice review.👍 Are your jams with some bullets caused by dragging carrying up or just feeding into the chamber at the very last where it catches on the chamber at an angle? I can explain a few things but it’s easier to show a vid if you want. Also is your suppressor fatter than a typical 45 pistol can? The Henry ( like Marlin) is super easy to take the bolt and lever out for cleaning so getter done. 😂🧼🧹🚿🕺🏻😂🇺🇸
I don't know if the suppressor is that much bigger than a 45. It works fine on my 1911 with suppressor sights. They are catching on the chamber mostly. I can tilt the gun and get them to chamber. Thanks👍
I’m thinking of buying one my state only allows single shot during deer season is it easy to load one shell in without the rod in never owned a lever action
You can single load it. I would be careful to carry it around with the tube mag. Debris or other things might be able to get in there. I guess it just depends how strict the law are.
Nice rifle, good shooting! I've only shot 180 SPs through mine yet, initially the mag only held 7 rounds but it broke in enough to hold 8 now. I have some 300 grain Prvi's, hopefully those will cycle as I bought 500 300-grain bullets to reload with. 😬 I think they're more of a flat point than a Keith bullet. Looks like maybe your rear receiver screw is coming out a bit?
KFW. Good video. Nice gun. Thanks for sharing. I have been putting a few .44 Mags down range with my CVA single shot. 100Y but with a scope. Take care.
Thanks for the video! I am trying to decide on the pistol grip or the conventional flat riffle stock. Also the 20' or the short carbine. What are your thoughts? New subscriber here.
Thank you. I appreciate it. I guess it depends what you like. I like the pistol grip and shorter barrel. It is a very handy little package. It's hard to go wrong with one of these. Good luck 👍.
Nice review! So fun to hear the pop TING with the suppressor on. It's interesting that it won't cycle the Keith bullets. That's kind of what they were designed for, right? Also not good news for me as I have several thousand of them ready to go. I also bought a Lyman 429-421 mold for when I'm finally casting. The only bullets I've loaded are the XTPs. They run great. Which Lee mold is the 200 grain pills? I wonder if there a similar one that drops heavier bullets.
First off nothing wrong with loading tons of 44 mag!!!! Secondly I have noticed My Marlin has issues with the Keith style bullet unless I rack it slow and have it canted off to the side just a hair it can be annoying I know currently experimenting with a different mold
44 magnum has become my number one favorite to shoot. I got some to work just like you by tipping the muzzle down and canting the rifle to the left a bit. It has several it eats without any problems, so I will just stick with those. Thanks again for the comment, it is always appreciated.
I spoke to Henry about their sights being Threaded n they just said " A muzzle brake" is what they figured would clear.......... jmo, They didn't even think about a Can cause their different heights.... Hopefully the new Ruger-Marlin will offer something interesting ?......... be well...
Don't really have to disassemble to clean it. It's got no gas system so nothing gets dirty, you really just need to pull through the barrel. Unscrewing the lever will let you pull the bolt if you really wanted to.
What a goof..complains the sights are not tall enough for that can.....ignores the fact that only one out of a thousand will ever use a can and DON'T want tall sights.
@@kyfirearms Anyone who is going to spend about $1k total for a can is going to spend a few $$ more for custom sights......the other 999 out of a 1,000 buyers dont want tall sights that stick out, get in the way, and ruin a proper sight picture.
@@chadhaire1711 That rifle cost more than the can. They just need to be a 1/8 inch taller. I don’t think that would get in the way. It’s my opinion, I think the gun would have been best for 100% of people if the sights were just a little bit taller.

It could be as simple as extractor tension not letting the round straighten out but I’ll do a vid to help others also. 👍

Great work as always 👏👏
Thank you. I appreciate it.
I've been debating this in 357 vs 44, my dad already reloads both so it's basically down to cheaper to shoot vs slaps harder
I originally wanted the 357 but 44 was all I could find. I am glad I got the 44 and the cost for reloading is probably really close to

The Lee is a 429-200-RF. Mine run around 212 grains. Maybe I can tinker with it and get the other bullets to work. Thanks again for the comment 👍.
@@kyfirearms i ordered that same mold. What powder are U using and how much powder did you get good results with? thanks for your good review.
Subsonic 5.7 grains of Titegroup was a good one.
@@kyfirearms Thanks for your reply =-)
What rail do you have on it ?
EGW brand. It is nice and works well. Thanks for the comment 👍.
Great groups and review thanks for sharing
Thanks
That’s an awesome setup. Good you found some projectiles that worked. Too bad all those cool cast hp’s wouldn’t work
Thanks. I am going to take it down and clean it and look more closely at the chamber and maybe I can figure out how to get them to work.
Great video
Thank you
How's this one for hunting?
I would think it would be great for deer.
I have one and it feels like a toy. I don't like it much, but it cycles well.

Why do they market it for suppressor use then? I am waiting to see what Ruger comes out with as well. Thanks for the comment, I appreciate it.
@kyfirearms
I think some suppressors are low enough for the sight to clear.
@@331Grabbernot at that caliber though

Ok. Then what is the threaded barrel for? This gun was made to use with a suppressor, so they could have done better on the sights.

Will this rifle handle heavy hand loads? I mean the loads that super Redhawk is designed for?
Not sure how to answer. I have mainly used 240 grain bullets. I have use Accurate #9 and Enforcer for 1650 fps at 9 feet from muzzle.
@@kyfirearms Thanks :)
Most of your Keith bullets are designed for going straight into a revolvers cylinder. Not up a feed ramp into the chamber.
That is my favorite bullet, and I was hoping it would work. Thanks for the comment.
Yes, i do love them in my revolvers.
Dont see the need for the stand if you are not setting up your sight.
