Sword breaker is actually the third craftable kinetic shotgun with one-two punch, the first one in the game was Ragnhild-D.
Yeah for some reason that one slipped my mind, I always forget you can craft it!
Do lightweight shotguns still have lowest reserve ammo? I’ve been using high impacts only for one two punch because for some reason lightweights carry like 3 less ammo

The Archetype for Abyss Defiant does not make it bad. Its perk pool alone makes it worthy of being in anyone's loadout.
My literal first drop from the raid on day 1 was a machine gun with reconstruction and sword logic. Of course I kept it, and as an arc main I am very happy to have a truly amazing arc machine gun finally!

I actually got a Heal Clip Incandecent Abyss Defiant from the Abyss encounter and ended up using it the rest of the raid. The healing was super helpful and AR Barrier mod meant it was useful during the bridge encounter
Literally all of the loot for Crota's End is god tier
This video is a prime example of not to listen to someone else's opinion. If you like a weapon then use it, I personally love Abyss Defiant.

@@LogickI respect Joe, but I don’t always agree with his opinions on certain weapons, which is fine. This is one of those cases. Abyss Defiant feels pretty great to me, even with me having a mid roll. One of the first weapons I’ll be crafting for sure
Everyone is entitled to their opinions, plus people have their own likes and favs in weaponry. This is no exception, i do like hearing people liking the weapons and how different roll combinations that us people dont know become useful or fun.
A couple of things I'd like to note;
The Word of Crota is the only craftable void primary in the game that can roll demo/frenzy, which is the roll that makes Unforgiven so good. This is pretty much the perfect roll imo for grenade-oriented void builds, especially on things like Gyrfalcon's hunter.
Oversoul Edict has a cool interaction between the origin trait and Voltshot; Voltshot kills count as weapon kills, so if you proc the origin trait and then get a bunch of Voltshot kills every single kill by the chain lightning will explode like a cursed thrall.
My opinions
The hand cannon is good despite being a 180 due to the way hand cannons feel right now hell even 120s are good in PVE now
The Auto may be a meh archetype at best but i am one of like 2 people on this planet that actually likes the slower firing auto rifles so im excited to craft it to replace my Chrysura Melo ive been using
Yeah, I have my crafted age old bond at like 13k kills and I’ve only had it for a season. People seem to want to use all autos like smgs in PvE. It has the range, so you should utilise it

Used Come To Pass while sitting on left plate for the bridge encounter. Genesis procs when breaking barrier champs bubble & firefly makes short work of thralls & acolytes.
I feel Abyss Defiant will be amazing for solar builds on the bridge encounter.
Autorifle would be great if its perks weren't so mid for a raid weapon.
The King's fall primaries had elite perk combos like explosive rounds + incandescent, im not seeing any of that with the crota weapons.
Imagine if this auto could've gotten something like incandescent + frenzy. Would 100% make up for it being a high impact
Not just you, I crafted it today, it SLAPS. It feels almost like Mythoclast but with better perks

I think I’m gonna craft the lmg with demo and sword logic, I currently don’t find the other weapons appealing but that could change when I really start messing with them and the origin perk

Unrelated to the video, but I just have to share and I want to give you algorithm engagement.
I have been having the time of my life on Strand Hunter with Lucky Pants and this season's ritual weapon: Malediction. It hits so hard with ExPay, reloads super quick thanks to high reload speed and the new Enlightened Action, and Wild Card is such a good Origin Trait for ad clear. Widow's silk for double Grapple charges, Whirling Maelstrom for the obvious reason, and I'm living my best cowboy life. Threads of Warding, Ascent, Transmutation, and Generation. I've also been loving the Qua Xaphan V LMG with Field Prep/Target Lock. I have a feeling a LOT of people will be playing way more Gambit this season than they have in the past just to get their hands on a good one. Imagine that, put loot we want in a playlist, and we engage with that playlist.
Hey, my man, I am mostly in the same same boat about arc machine guns, but you did Subsistence + One-for-all "A fine memorial" dirty in this video.
That’s been my go to Arc MG with that exact roll. Such a sleeper pick when it comes to MGs in this game.
I will comment that after a lot of use with the 180 hand cannon that it's really good
Deathsinger was definitely fun but also brutal for my team on contest. Gonna take me a bit to get over it haha.

I didn't think I would like the Abyss Defiant but my Subsistence + Sword Logic roll does pretty well overall in PvE and surprisingly PvP. I don't know what it is but just feels really nice. In PvP the Sword Logic + Subsistence allows me to have pretty much infinite ammo as long as I can get a Sword logic buff high enough to one tap red bars. Being solar also makes it synergize well with solar subclasses. Been using it with the new Foetracer on a Hunter radiant build and it does some work.
Abyss Defiant is made for solar builds that have to sit on plates for the bridge encounter.
5:40 I would definitely recommend pugilist for the first slot on that shotty. Helps keep your melee charged.
You normally won’t get kills with the shotgun itself, and with your melee instead
If you’re running a good build, said build will keep your melee charged
@@demonjoe I get shotgun kills all the time in end game PvE content when my melee doesn’t one shot. And I run end game PvE builds for bonk Titan and strand Titan with synthoceps and 1-2 punch.

Deathsinger. As always, great overview and perspective on the potential of the new weapons. Machine gun, shotty and HC are my targets. Yea HC is a 180 but like you say, that perk pool and origin trait combined is too good to pass up!
Puglist on the swordbreaker is what im pairing with one two punch. Melee energy for banner strand titan 👍

Slight observation, when mentioning the Swordbreaker shotgun, you mentioned it was one of 2 craftable kinetic shotguns with One-Two Punch, May i remind you of... Ragnhild-D from Witch Queen.
My first goal is to get the autorifle... very easy to hit 100 range with it and its extremely stable. Want an Incandescent roll. So far I have Outlaw/Target Lock and Heal Clip/EotS.
Also got two Swordbreakers. Looking forward to using the Fragile Focus/Sword Logic one with No Backup Plans. Keep that Overshield up to keep Fragile Focus going.

i think the reason Abyss Defiant is a 360 might be becasue most people using the weapon in D1 went with focused fire over hip fire. could be wrong but thats what i think
Sword breaker with demo and one two sounds kinda fun with no back up plans exotic arms. One two synergizes with exotic arms and demo gives some grenade back on top of that
what is the shader you have in the pulse?
The main roll that stuck out to me on Song was RR and BnS, just for the simple action of shooting your other guns getting a 35% buff for free instead of needing to get a bunch of kills for Sword Logic which does get a higher boost, but need to jump through a few hurdles for it to get to max.
I managed to get an Abyss Defiant with Enlightened Action and swashbuckler. It could be an interesting roll with the Cursed Thrall origin trait. Combined with knife trick it has potential, I’d say
I got enlightened action and voltshot on oversoul edict my first drop. With reload masterwork. Almost always have voltshot with it.
There are 2 weapons from this raid I really want:
- Song of Ir Yut with Reconstruction + Target Lock - Finally a good arc machine gun that will be great for add clear and occasional higher health targets just like Retrofit Escapade
- Abyss Defiant with Heal Clip + Incandescent - My Repulsor Brace + Destabilizing Rounds Age-Old Bond is one of my favourite weapons of all time and this is practically just a solar version of it. This and Heal Clip has potential to synergise with Ember of Benevolence for crazy good ability uptime
I'm not sure which one of the two I will craft first yet, it'll all depend on my drops once I finally get around to doing the raid
Heal clip + incandescent is literally on a world drop sidearm, meaning it will likely be on many more weapons going forward. Raid weapons should have much more exclusive perk combos than this
I'd go for Pugilist and Swashbuckler on Abyss. Throw that on your Sunbracer Warlock for an explodey good time.
First machine gun drop was a Reconstruction + Bait and Switch. Got the Auto Rifle with Reconstruction + Sword Logic.

Fang scout on strand warlock should be able to snipe red bars with the melee for tasty explosions.
Sword Logic procs on Yellow Bars in PvE for x2 btw. X3 is from mini bosses and x4 from bosses
So I actually have a crafted Oversoul Edict a perk that's also good on it is Encore at x4, ricochet rounds, and a stability masterwork its goes to 99 stability and 52 range about 33m and it turns it into a laser been having great fun with it and liar's handshake
i wonder if precision instrument makes the 260 scout a 4 shot instead of 5
5:17, ragnahild-d (or however you spell it) is also craftable with OTP, but I assume you mean lightweight kinetic shotgun.

Yeah, outside of the MG, I don't think I'm going to worry about crafting any of these. They really missed the ball on having a void SMG here to craft finally, but then again with that origin trait I think it would be overpowered. That trait would be broken on a SMG, sidearm or waveframe GL
There was no smg back in the old Crota days, so they wouldn't have added one. I'm more disappointed the pulse rifle doesn't have pugilist, it could've paired well with Point contact cannon brace.

D1 didn't have any smgs unless you count 900rpm autos, so there was no chance of that happening.
You’re right about the ar 600 or 720 would’ve been better. Eidolon Ally is hard to put down though. Even though it’s not craftable and fixed roll it’s still a legendary from the raid 😉
For me im excited finally got a good void 180. Cause god ikelos hc stats are just so bad. Word is such an amazing hc. And after the hc buffs, 180s are amazing now. Word of crota is definitely my top pick out of the loot pool. Machine gun is second
For what it's worth, word of crota was always of the highest fire rate archetype in D1, so I expected it to be a 180. I think the coolest but of the crota weapons is all of them were in really bad archetypes for most of D1, but are now really good or at least usable.
Why is Thorn a 140 then if both weapons were the same archetype in D1?
Because we already have gotten a void 140 recently. And thorn had its rpm lowered when 150s were removed
As much as I typically hate 360 rpm auto rifles, Abyss Defiant feels great, and that’s with the roll I got not being all that good

Word has definitely always been a fast fire rate, it's one of the reasons it was almost immediately abandoned in D1. Fatebringer, even without the legendary perk combo, was just better (32 for Word, 22 for Fate)
I gor the machine gun with Reconstruction + Bait and switch and its a monster. Breezed through legend calus on lightfall

Word of Crota was the same archetype as Thorn in D1.
The fact they didn't bring back black hammer means they are all cowards. Just don't give it white nail. They could make it a 90 rpm and give it triple tap 4th time, not infinite but very good, or something. It's an iconic sniper and I was really hoping it would come back.
As iconic as it is, I’m sure Bungie would see it as redundant as Whisper of the Worm exists in game and is just Exotic Black Hammer. Even with an archetype change and perk refresh, we already have quite a decent selection of 90 rpm snipers to choose from in game, though I can understand where you’re coming from, Black Hammer was a badass sniper.
Black Hammer was iconic because of White Nail, remove the perk and it’s just a regular sniper with Crota skin
Ragnhild has one two punch as well.
I mean....this handcannon goes kinda hard in void setups.

My brother in light, you *had* x2 sword logic in the clip where you said it was PvP only. Redbars are x1, orange bars are x2, majors are x3, minibosses are x4, actual bosses are x5.
I am actually not too impressed with swordbreaker as I already have plenty of other shotguns that are more suited to either damage or one two punch.
I am actually looking at that oversoul edict though and nodding my head in approval as it is now a pulse rifle with demo and voltshot. Demo won’t proc voltshot, but voltshot will proc demo. Keep that in mind. Now we have something like what we got in plunder but now more suited to mid range with some long rang scattered into it.
I think the auto is at least better than the ammit auto rifle in my opinion

What's weird is most of the guns don't look like they go with their archetype. As said, word of crota wasn't a 180, so the model doesn't look right with the recoil. Auto and scout don't look like a high impact and rapid fire. Look more like adaptive and precision
I don't think 180 RPM hand cannons even existed in D1. Even if they did, they had normal 140 recoil/kick. Abyss Defiant was definitely a crappy slow fire rate in D1. I feel like Fang of Ir Yut was like a 200 RPM in D1, just guessing.

I REALLY think Abyss Defiant could’ve been really really fun if it just had Cascade Point
to be honest, i got a heal clip incandescent roll on abyss defiant and have been using it religiously for the past couple days. regardless of archetype, the combination of ad clear and survivability is too good to pass up on
CALUS Mini Tool has both survivability and add clear while also being a better weapon type
Use that if you have it 🫡
beefy red bars (i.e servitors...) give 2 stacks of sword logic and its outright disgusting. also i love the new necrochasm, and the deathsinger encounter is way more fun now then in d1

Random LFG groups are rough for this raid I spent hours on crota on normal mode that final stand is chunky as hell. And those effing boomers holy shit
Word of Crotas was the fastest firing rpm. Idk what anyone else was expecting out of this. I'm glad it's a 180, they're my favorite to use in pvp with lucky pants.

In D1 it was a 150 which was the fastest rpm for HC at that time

Word of crota was a 150 in d1 it should have been a 140. It's still good yes but it would been better as a 140 as they are the perfect archetype. I got the auto rifle with incandescent and its actually pretty good especially with the origin trait. Its the only high impact frame i would actually recommend. However yes it should have been a 600.
I will be crafting the shotgun first. Enhanced pugilist + enhanced 1-2 punch? Yes please.
Then I will craft the machine gun. Then I’ll craft the WoC because I do want a craftable void HC with both of the void perks.
I will be crafting them all because they all have AMAZING perk pools and eventually the meta will be rebalanced and high impact autos and 180 HCs will be top tier.
In all honesty, Instead of nerfing Vex to be a 360, they should have just buffed all 360's to be 390's.

While I love the perks of the Word of Crota and being a Voidlock myself… it just looks so wrong to shoot. When I saw the Fatebringer model and the void affinity, I too was disappointed with a 180 rpm.
We only have 1 (ONE) viable void hand cannon that isn’t a 180.

I have Demo with my Fallen Sunstar build and I’m constantly spamming grenades and ad clearing, it’s an endless cycle of damage buff and fully reloaded
