🌲 Hello and welcome to Holmåkra 22! 🌲
A new series that mainly will be focused around forestry and logging! With different setups, mods, etc.
In this episode, we'll clear a small pathway of trees for future projects on a steep hill using the Koller yarder. Once the trees hit the landing, we'll be using the Volvo with a processor to cut the logs into the right lengths before loading and driving them to the sawmill.

Bro, that was very well executed! The precision and control you had was just beautiful. Also loved the way you first set the cutting area with the Tractor and multch. Just perfection. Dear Modder Community, we need a harvester for mountains. A machine, which can track complete trees to the top of the hill. A crane with harvester processor can saw the trees into logs.
Sounds like you describing the Impex Hannibal there. 😅

Nice! You have to have pre knowledge about how to do it. You work with it in real life or your family does,the detail how you cut up the woods exposed you :) I am an old timber truck driver from the north of Sweden so i recognize professionals doing timber work when i see them in action, and this is pro level my friend. pro loggers dont have time to game and pro gamers dont have time to log. Both make it look too easy!
Do you use glasses, or some stereo vision devices? How it's possible to load and unload bucks of trees?
I do actually use Tobii facetracker (disabled eyetracking) This help some with the depth perception. But i disabled it when loading the truck :P
Nice and precise work, after seeing your videos I kinda want to get the platinum expansion and start my own savegame on Holmåkra :D.
If you enjoy logging i can highly recommend the Platinum DLC! :D It comes with quite a few cool machines and features, such as winching and paints. =D

whats the setting to get your head to track the grapple like that? if such a setting exists

I'm using a Tobii face/eyetracker in addition with FaceTracknoIR, which allow me to look and move around freely!
With that being said quite a few of the modded forestry machines comes with extra cameras tracking the grapple. 😁

What is the name of the excavator and the processor Head you are using as well as that other machine that pulls up all the logs up the hill?
They are all part of the Platinum DLC - Volvo EC250DL with it's processor configuration P60 Koller. The Yarder is called Koller as well =)

Yea i can imagine, just figuring out all the buttons and controls alone looks like a complicated challenge! 😅
It looks nice, when I try to take 3 trees or even two, the physics starts to break down. Yesterday I started playing on the holmarka and even one tree was jumping in the shoulder. I don't know but it can be frustrating at times, however it is fun to watch you take even a few trees at a time and nothing happens 😂
The physics sure can be troublesome at times hehe. 😂 But so far my experience with Holmåkra is quite great. 😄
@@Bambis_GamerHut i delete all mods, and instal wood harvester controls, and it's ok 😂 (and steering is more comfortable for me 🤔) i think after instal WHC, cran works more efficient or it's a placebo effect 😂 Curiosity, im work in ALBACH 😂 This is why I started to take an interest in tree felling in Fs22, and your films are great 👌 cheers 💪 Curiosity 2 when I work for ROPA, I planted beets 😂
I usually try to keep mods on the low end as well. 😅 Specially the script mods. For me WHC sure helps making the processors feel way better and the extra controls added helps a lot on precision.
That's pretty cool, I actually just downloaded the Albach Diamant 2000 mod from modhub not long ago. 😄
@@Bambis_GamerHut For me the problem with farming is, I install a lot of machine mods and I use two. I had a few scripts. I found that I don't use them, what's the use of keeping them on disk.
Overall the process of assembling the diamant is even cool, sometimes we see them testing the machine 😁.

Thanks! Yea, Fdr makes some pretty awesome mods, but i haven't played around with them much ever since the Platinum Expansion arrived. 😁 It's from the Platinum DLC 😀

How do you keep the logs from moving?
While in the stack? - I only really experience moving logs when the piles are too big or if a few logs aren't placed correctly =)
I suggest you to use a wheel front loader to load the truck is much faster
They can be hard to operate in tight places. 😄

So smooth. Do you use joisticks to control the machines? Also mods or is this vanilla. I have troubles handling the logs especially the grabbers to hold the trees feel always so weak and logs keep wobbling around in my game :(

The map itself is a mod of cause, I also use the mod called Wood Harvester Controls. Other then that it's basically DLC content from the Platinum DLC. =)

Dont know what valtra version you are using but there is a nice modhub valmer with forrest cage and chains on the tires with realistic lightning

The log trailer is from the Platinum Edition and the map is on the officially modhub called ''Holmåkra 22'' - I think it's available for all platforms but i'm not a 100% sure! =)

Yea i don't use REA for that reason. Granted that it's a long time ago i last tried out their mods. Dolly's move around all the time for some reason, but i found that the mod ''Trailer Axle Blocker'' Helps stopping the dolly from moving around too much. =D @@sound_nation243
