Oh will, I’m so gutted for you and the ewes too. I watch Sandi go through this and she feels just like you are. Is it worth having a chat to her-just because she totally “gets it”, we can only imagine and that’s hard enough. Keeping everything crossed for the little ewe lamb at home and all the other ewes 🤞🤞. Just try and keep your chin up xx
I feel so sorry for you , you take such good care of your sheep ,but like you said this is out of your control. Hopefully the vet will come back with some better news on the other lambs
Yes, there are many differences across your property and your flock. However, remember that all your sheep have been stressed by the rain and floods! Every stressed being’s immune system gets weakened; even excellent feed and husbandry can’t always defeat problems exacerbated by stress. Hope you can get definitive answers from your vet’s necropsies, so you can have better results going forward.
Keep the head up Will. By the very nature of it the premature issues will always be at the start! This too will pass. Keep up the great videos. We're so looking forward to the lambing vlogs in our house. The kids watch it like a soap! All the best, From Co Fermanagh, Northern Ireland
Real sorry to hear about the loss of the lambs Will, and I know it is very difficult and hard on you and although I have never been greatly involved with sheep, I used to be the very same when we lost calf's. Hopefully things will turn for you as you start what should be the main lambing period. If there is a positive to be had out of the sadness, its the fact your have shown to those not involved in farming what the real picture can be, and that it does have an impact on the farm financially but more importantly on farmers and their mental health. Stay strong and battle on.
So sorry Will, sole crushing. I've seen Sandy struggle with early losses like this before. I hope the rest of lambing goes off without any difficulties.
Feel your pain Will we are lambing our first wee batch of 43 and it has been a bit of a rollercoaster i think the very wet winter hasn't helped hope things improve for you God bless
I am so sorry .too many .I feel for you . So sad . Can you get yhe vacs tested ?? Thankyou for posting this we as supporters and consumers need to know this . And try and support you .
I used to have problems with lambing, when the sheep crowded at the feeding, I had few feeding places for the sheep, sheep jumped on each other, when i fixed it the problems stopped.
After watching your video, I think your sheep are well raised. Our company produces solid-liquid separators that can convert animal manure into fertilizer for crop fertilization. If you use fertilizer for grassland maintenance, you can achieve maximum resource utilization. We hope you will carefully consider our suggestion.😊
Will, my sympathies with you. As to the toxoplasmosis, it is very much a wait and see approach. With the vaccine, the question is whether it was correctly manufactured and stored properly at correct temperature range. Out of curiousity, has your vet mentioned what can be done if it is a vaccine failure to save the rest of the lambing season?
Sorry you`re having such a tough start to lambing. I walked in the shed Monday and found the same thing 6 days before they`re due. Its gut wrenching and soul destroying. Hopefully things will get much better for you.
So sorry about the dead lambs. I wonder if the really wet winter had anything to do with it since I doubt you've done anything different this year compared to others. The weather is the only thing that I can think would have been different.
So sorry for your loss of baby lambs, my maiden name is Cowley we could be cousins lol. My family is in the US but we are very much from the UK. I was hoping is will give you a laugh talk to again Gale Marie
❤❤ nothing i can say is going to make this better but i totally emphasize w u on this. I was looking forward to this as much as you. Regroup, inwardly digest ,n make a plan .. ❤❤ can't waite for more news good bad n everything in between.
So sorry for what your going through Will its just heartbreaking. We had problem years ago with ewes we bought in in lamb and mixed them with our own and then we had a good few abortions. Its very hard cos you dont know when it will end and its out of your control. Sending you best wishes.
I consider you the best shepherd that I watch. I've watched others but they don't measure up to you. (Sorry, but I am a cow person.) You seem to be doing all the right things but sometimes things are out of your control. Look at it this way, things are bound to improve so you just have to hang in there until then.
I am very sorry to see and hear this. 😢 It is very informative though. I wonder if this is climate related: too wet/warm/windy....? (and that then resulting in ... whatever is causing this)
Very sorry to hear this Will, I can tell you are very concerned, as every shepherd would be, I hope it sorts itself out but please consider NOT to do the lambing blog, what’s important is for you and the family to be strong during this lambing period, your viewers will understand, take care Will, Regards John, avid follower.
My sympathies, it is never fun. Many years ago we had Chlamydia go through our flock and then a year later we started having Q fever abortions. I hope you get it sorted out.
Unfortunately thats lambing either it starts good and ends crap or starts crap and ends good. At least you have sheds and not outside lambing with all the predators waiting for any unattended lambs and just pick them off. You can’t be everywhere all the time. On the plus side your ewes look well and i ain’t a lleyn fan.
Will you should not bash yourself. You took all precautions possible. Sadly neither do I know how to prevent cats from roaming around. We have them here daily in the hay. And they are not ours. I hope your vet can guide you through this. Fingers crossed 🍀
Thanks for the honest video. Really hope that the situation improves for you
totally feel for you, sorry for your losses. You work so hard at your sheep and do all the right things, heartbreaking.
You will get through this big fellow. Its going to be tough but it will be better next year. Take care and keep plodding on.

Hope things straighten out for you.as lambing progresses.

So sorry to see this. Hopefully the woest is over. Take care.
I sure feel for you Will. I wish you better fortune.
Sounds like you are doing everything possible. Hope the vet has more information with the other tests. Good luck. Things will get better.
I am so sorry .too many .I feel for you .

I feel for you. I always find the worst things in lambing come just at the beginning and just at the end. It will get better.
Sorry you`re having such a tough start to lambing. I walked in the shed Monday and found the same thing 6 days before they`re due. Its gut wrenching and soul destroying. Hopefully things will get much better for you.

I’m sure wondering how things are going.
Praying for you.

That is tough news at the start of lambing. Better days ahead. You take such good care of them ❤️❤️
Have a look at how you administered your toxovac, should be intermuscular
❤❤ nothing i can say is going to make this better but i totally emphasize w u on this. I was looking forward to this as much as you. Regroup, inwardly digest ,n make a plan .. ❤❤ can't waite for more news good bad n everything in between.
Feel for you after all the hard work but keep going Will, your efforts will be rewarded in other ways.
Shows strength to show your struggle.
Will, we feel your pain, sometimes caring and hard work just cannot overcome mother nature. Ted

So sorry. Every loss is felt. 😢. I suspect the extreme wet weather has contributed.
We run 40 pedigree blue texels this is heart breaking to hear hope it gets better
Oh I’m so sorry Will
I know loss is a part of farming of any kind but holy caw. I hope it gets figured out quickly!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Feel sorry for you all,all the good work you put in for caring for the sheep, and the lambs are stillborn, shame for the ewe too
I have had a shit start to lambing this year aswel and it's NOT fun at all 😢
Sending our love
Chin up bud 👍🏻
It's a sad day to lose lambs that early , have you had your feed tested for anything ie hay or silage
So very sorry. The longer I watch the more heartbreaking.
You need a camera for your sheep shed ? Did you ask your brother last video to take a dna test ?

Ewetopia, in Canada, might be another channel folks would enjoy due to their excellent care and shepherding.
I am very sorry to see and hear this. 😢 It is very informative though. I wonder if this is climate related: too wet/warm/windy....? (and that then resulting in ... whatever is causing this)
Not nice at all Will I feel your pain I hope you have better days ahead 🤞👍
I hope theres been no more early lambs.
So sorry man, hopefully you will get to the bottom of it and it all stops,it awful as you a brilliant shepherd .keep your chin up 😢
do u have feral cats on the farm? we were bothered by cat shit and piss contamination on grass and hay caused abortions
I'm sorry you've had such a rubbish start to lambing. Thank you for showing how it really is. Look after yourself
Make sure you have no cats near anything to do with the sheep.
Thankfully we do vaccinate for toxoplasmosis
My sympathies, it is never fun. Many years ago we had Chlamydia go through our flock and then a year later we started having Q fever abortions. I hope you get it sorted out.
I don’t know the problem, and maybe I shouldn’t say this, but I never agree with bought in stock, hard to beat a closed flock or herd,
No I completely agree! Not done it for 6 years and the year I did to get some new genetics in we get a problem
Sorry wil l please keep us up to date it does affect us as well
😢

I feel so crap for you. Me asking you if you if lambing had started. I am so sorry.
Will you should not bash yourself. You took all precautions possible. Sadly neither do I know how to prevent cats from roaming around. We have them here daily in the hay. And they are not ours. I hope your vet can guide you through this. Fingers crossed 🍀
Your struggles with the lambing season is not good.
