Good Luck Will, nice looking Ram but always heard that newborn Suffolk lambs aren't the best in cold weather and don't have the will to live like other breeds, but you lamb inside so should be less of an issue.
Looks a nice addition and should do you really well. It would be interesting to see how you feel about the lamb vigour at lambing as Suffolks seem to have gained a bad reputation but the way these are bred I hope it’s not an issue. It would be nice to see them make a comeback.
Do you have access to good ile de france rams? I found lambs from idf finished faster, the rams were nice tempered and if you decide to keep replacement ewes the maternal line of idf, doesn't lose anything in finished lambs and the cross ewe has a lot to offer, including breeding out of season, great mothering up, etc.
Super interesting one Will. Fine looking chap you brought home. Great that so much data is collected to look at their genotype and then make decisions. I just wonder are semen tests done on sheep? We do this in dogs as you do not want to spend good money on a drop out.
Thank you so much Will. 🙏💜
What a handsome lad. Good luck with lambing.
I've also got a suffolk ram to go on the mules then cover any lleyns that the lleyn hasn't covered, they're so docile!
Good looking male lamb.
Great selection Will, good luck with him.
Matt Harding, legend of the Harper Adams bar and not a bad sheep breeder either!
Ahaha, Harper man myself too
Lovely looking ram. Best of luck with him👍🏻
Will, thank you. Always interesting to observe the factors in the decision making involved in selecting a good tup.
Outstanding video Will! Learning a lot from your channel. Congratulations on your new tup! Enjoyed the video. Thanks.
Very interesting video, very handsome tup can't wait too see what his lambs will be like
Love the suffolk, tradition keep it going
Fine looking ram. 😊👍👍
Nice ram he should do well. Only thing I will say is keep your dagging clippers charged up and the blades sharp next summer
Great video Will and the best of luck with the new tup 👌
Thank you!

The suffolks 30 years ago were slightly better than texels. NZ breeding focus much more on those traits. It will be interesting to see how he does.
Suffolk are great sheep but just bit slower get on feet at lambing 👍
Hopefully this more New Zealand type should be better

Yes fortunately these type of Suffolk’s should have a bit more get up and go
