For those of you that have been following our journey from the start of our boat renovations you would have seen the inside each week, but here we show you our narrowboat interior as a whole in this one vlog, giving details of storage space, what we use each nook and cranny for and you get to have a look at our narrowboat engine.
The boat is not finished completely and of course we will always have little jobs along the way to keep us busy as we continuously cruise the waterways. This vlog shows you how far we have come to turn a once empty narrowboat into our floating tiny home.
We hope you have enjoyed this week's vlog and continue to join us on our Narrowboat adventures. Next week we are in new surroundings as we travel to Cosgrove, upgrade our batteries to Lithium, have a visit from family and give Paul a hair cut on the cut!

I have watched a large amount of narrowboat videos and I will say this is one of the best interior designs that I have ever seen. It does not look like the average narrowboat inside.

Glad you discussed rubbish storage. Strangely, that's one of the things that most narrowboat videos seem to skip over and I'm always wondering where it all goes in between drop-offs.

I really love what you've done to that boat my taste and colours.
I think when you have smooth walls instead of pine cladding everywhere it makes it look so much more spacious.
You pair really do have good taste and creativity one of the best interiors I've seen in an narrow boat.
I did notice one of your other videos you have some damp issues in the bedroom get a dehumidifier an electric one also space bags are very good for putting clothes in the ones that you seal and use the vacuum cleaner to take out the air but make sure the clothes are bone dry and preferably freshly laundered.❤
Hi Jeffrey. Thank you so much. Yes we now have an electric dehumidifier and clothes storage sorted, I lift the bed most mornings to air it. I have done a little more painting since this video and in next Wednesdays vlog you can see some of the artwork that I've painted on the bathroom wall to brighten it up a little in our miserable English weather 😉😊

Almost reminded me of a submarine in terms of width and length. You’ve made it very comfortable given it’s size. I loved when you opened the side hatch and all that natural light came into the boat. I noticed your dog doesn’t just plop down anywhere but neatly folds into one side tight to the sofa.I prefer hearing the technical stuff like amps generated, liters burned, how many liters in the water tank,but still appreciated your tour, thanks. If you made a removable mesh window frame for that hatch you can leave it open all night and still keep the midgies out in summer.
Hi Martin. That was on the list to do but it was a job that got pushed to the bottom of the list as we didn't get any over bearilingly hot nights on the boat this summer. Hopefully it can be top of list for next summer 😀

Agree, Beautifully done and sacrificing space to fit bigger bed, all makes logical sense as you spend more time in bed then walking through the narrower gap. Superbly done.

You both did a beautiful job renovating the narrowboat, a lot of thought seems to have gone into it, I love that you cut the sharp corners of the counters in the kitchen as well ... I am so pleased that you went for color, I am so sick of all that white that people still go for.
Thank you so much. A lot of people think that dark colours make a narrowboat space look smaller so opt for white but adding colour can actually make it feel more homely and cosy and add character 😀
@@uponreflection I love the colours, my place if full of color, throw rugs and natural wood mainly Tasmanian blackwood not forgetting my comfy leather reclyner 😄
The colors are absolutely beautiful - well chosen & so soothing ! Way too many 'decor' thingys for my taste - flowers, statuettes, nick-nacks etc....clogs up the space, altho we all know how this happens with Xmas gifts & can't resist purchases when shopping ! But the space is really well thought out - kitchen is lovely, apart from the lack of a big frig/freezer - one of my beefs with these boats as well as the narrow living room that I find psychologically daunting - why I could not live on one ! It is just about the nicest boat I've seen on youtube tho ! You are obviously both into being tidy which is why it works - too many couples are tidy/messy combinations which makes life hard however you live - somebody is always running around fixing what the other half messed up !- so you are a great couple from that perspective & I would say lucky you ! Congratulations on a really lovely home !

Thanks Lyn, our Ernie does have a little snuggle with us on the bed for a few minutes before jumping down to his bed, we don't mind though, in winter we will probably be arguing as to who he cuddles for the warmth 🤣

You have really put your stamp on your floating home, I love the decor and the layout. Ernie seems to have issues with his paws, funnily enough so did my sons dog, he had grass seeds buried in his pads that the vet had to get out. He now wears boots if he goes out , it helps his sore paws and stops him chewing them. See you next week.
