I am an Orthodox Christian, but I consider all true Catholics brothers in faith, like two lungs in one body. I understand the feeling of distance between you and the Father, I went through it. You have to keep praying and reading your Bible. I felt like God abandoned me, but He was there, watching over me. I dishonored myself and God by falling into sin after not "feeling" the Lord. I warn you not to follow my sinful steps, but rather keep trusting in the Lord. The distance between the Lord is temporary if you do His will. It is easy to fall from the Word, especially in times of great difficulty. The girl I believed to be the love of my life suddenly disappeared without leaving me a single word, and it has crumbled me and my relationship with God (it was 2 weeks ago). Yet remember that God knew this would happen, meaning there is a way out of your suffering, but ultimately a purpose to your suffering. God is not punishing you, but destroying you to rebuild you into a man. I shall pray for you. Father, Almighty God, Creator of the heavens and the earth, blessed be your Name. We thank you for the good in our lives, for it brings us joy, yet we also thank you for the bad, for it fortifies our faith. Lord, I pray for this young brother who is going through hard times and who is lost at the moment. Give him clarity, bring him close to You, as He may experience your endless sea of love. Do not let the enemy put his claws on him, rather give him the strenght to defeat his demons. Give him courage and sight, so that he may follow your difficult yet righteous path without second thoughts. I pray for his troubles to leave him, and for his faith to be ever growing.
