Hey Jared, glad you had a productive day on LP. The larger browns seem like they’ve been hard to find lately on a lot of the IA creeks. Gotta enjoy the rainbow entertainment!
@@tenkaraintheiowadriftless haha! Yeah they wanted no part of what I was throwing! I love that creek! So scenic! It was great just to get out and tenkara again! Merry Christmas Gary!
Nice outing. That's a good looking stream. Rainbow are a nice break from the usual Browns every once in a while. It's been a quite few years since I've been down to Iowa.
@@jeffabramson2878 thanks Jeff! It’s a great stream with plenty of easy access! Just head East Jeff! But it’s almost open season in WISCONSIN! 😁 Can’t wait!
Hey brother I need to know what winter outfit you routinely use when out winter (cold) fishing. I’m poor and need to save up for the gear. I would appreciate it. Your videos keep me hopeful and determined to get out there. Merry Christmas and happy holidays. Ty
@@wilsonallen7831 I use thick wool socks, wool long underwear, and waders. Frogtoggs has some good affordable waders fyi. For upper I use wool top, coat and then a rain shell to stop wind and water. Hope this helps and hopefully Santa will bring you something to help you go winter fishing! Merry Christmas Wilson!
I admit that I use Brent’s warbird on my very first fish on my Kokoro and immediately knew it was too heavy for that rod. Interesting choice going tungsten. How did that feel?
@@skiddyfishing haha! I love the warbird! I thought it felt slightly heavy on the Kokoro, but it was doing good until I caught that tree! 😂 I’m looking forward to kebari time and the Kokoro this summer.
I can appreciate the tree base you caught. I always catch my limit of them here in the Virginia mountains! 😂
@@bentruett you have those in Virginia too!? 🤣 It’s a part of fishing. Can’t edit it out!
Jared, the dreaded snaggapotamus. Great to see you back my friend
@@blueridgeflyguy9551 🤣 you have that type of tree by you too?! It is December so I thought I’d decorate a tree! Thanks Mike!

The kokoro is a beautifully balanced rod. Another good video.

What stream is that in Iowa?
@ I won’t hot spot any stream. But it is in the eastern part of Iowa.
