Ha! The grass is not greener there o. It feels like harvested and preserved grass. In the end, y'all will adapt to the lifestyle. Making new friends and being active in your community is a good start. Weldone Tobi 👍👍👍
Well, true… the reason we can’t complain is because you enjoy the taxes you pay in terms of the amenities the government provides. God help our country and the leaders 🙏🏽
Yes, it’s crazy. One doctor opened a restaurant and is now very successful and says he’ll not go back to medicine. I think Canada had to relax the criteria for getting licensed to practice as a foreign trained doctor
Getting a job has always been stressful, but definitely not impossible. Knowing how the system works and preparing adequately will be very beneficial 😊
Finding a job is hard given the current economic situation, but not impossible. There are jobs but you need to know how to get them. I’ll share some tips in the very next video 😊
Not 100% sure about Ontario because provinces are run like separate countries here. Different provincial laws, different taxes and definitely different rules regarding healthcare and insurance. But there are many similarities too
Yes you will pay taxes regardless of what you do or how you do it. You can get away by avoiding taxes and lying in your tax forms, but you also can get caught if the government does an audit on your accounts and you’ll pay the penalty.
Yes they can’t really know the exact amount you make, only if they run an audit on your accounts and see your transactions. Your taxes will always be based on your income bracket and I will explain this in my future videos😊
At least you pay tax and see what it is use for. Not here where you will be paying 50k estimated nepa bill in a month yet you won't see the light for 2, 3 or more days.
Yes there’s accountability here, even though there’s corruption everywhere in the world, Canadians hold their government accountable and it’s impossible to pay taxes and not get value for the money you pay. However, the taxes are a lot too
@@erinletobi Amen Baba. It's sad. I am loss between going for Ontario and Alberta. Your video on "why you love and choose Calgary" has added to my confusion o

Adaptation is key! Once we adapt, what seems difficult starts to look easier.
Good one Tobi. You are such a delight to listen to😊 That bonus story really cracked me up😂.
Thanks Bukky🤗

You are real. Good job.
Thank you 🙏🏽🙏🏽
If the money is used bk to do things for the ppl it's great. How about those that take from us and give nothing in return.

For the skin, think you guys should hv come with shea butter. Anyways its history now.
Yea, actually it’s way better now, body is fully adjusted and we just use normal moisturizers😊
Well done Tobi
Thank you my friend 🤗
Most doctors that relocated from Nigeria aren’t practicing in Canada. There are many immigrants that are doctors but it’s not easy to practice

If you are a lagosian from Nigeria, you won't have problem with all these things cos you will be used to it
Well, you're quite correct!
Thanks for this piece sir. With this load of taxes now. How does getting a job look like there especially for an immigrant

The atmosphere in Canada is very dry😀😀😀. It’s telling on my skin seriously… But we meuve
Crazy crazy weather indeed 😄
Your video was great
Thank you for making videos
I have a question: how is the situation of finding a job in Calgary? For people who have a Ph.D
Finding a job is hard given the current economic situation, but not impossible. There are jobs but you need to know how to get them. I’ll share some tips in the very next video 😊
Please I want to ask if its so in Ontario. I mean health sector and everyother things you mentioned you hated in Calgary
Not 100% sure about Ontario because provinces are run like separate countries here. Different provincial laws, different taxes and definitely different rules regarding healthcare and insurance. But there are many similarities too
@@erinletobi thanks for your response tobi 😍 God bless you

Hello, I use Final Cut Pro
I want to ask bro, what if you are a tailor and you run your stuffs inside your apartment, will you still pay tax?
Yes you will pay taxes regardless of what you do or how you do it. You can get away by avoiding taxes and lying in your tax forms, but you also can get caught if the government does an audit on your accounts and you’ll pay the penalty.
Really, but what if you pay lesser than what you make, I'm sure they can't know the exalt amount of money you make monthly. Just asking

I am based in 9ja and my tax monthly is over 30% yet I don't enjoy any benefits.!
Isn’t that the major problem in Nigeria? Lack of leadership and accountability. Our leaders buying SUVs with taxpayers money. God help us!🙏🏽
