I didn’t realise you used practical effects for everything but I did know you used them a lot. They make your videos really stand out and made me actually try this technique out before you even posted this video lol
I think more people should use this tactic because the flashlight helps add to the lighting showing extra detail in any neon objects this could also work with explosions just as long as it’s in the dark environment it’ll work
Awesome video. I've always just added digital effects, but that is an awesome way of making effects. Be interested in how you do some of the more complicated ones, like big explosions.
I just subscribed this is so useful thank you so much for making this video i really want to try to make lego stop motions cause its been a dream of mine
I don’t know if this guy does the same but I just search up say “Star Wars blaster sound effect” screen record that then add it in with either stop motion studio or capcut
It's a really cool idea, but what do you do to make the paper not fall or bend from the lightsaber? And, for the blaster shots when they are on the air?
Nice tutorial. The ‘intensity’ setting is called iso and controls the brightness while the shutter controls the amount of light coming in. This is very useful for various things. For example, if you want to do motion blur you’d turn up the shutter speed and turn down the iso ( I think I explained that to you on one of your streams once). I adapted this technique from both you and DankMotionsStudios5. Keep it up.
Thanks Rapid! I remember you were the first person to comment on my practical effects! At the time I had no idea what “practical effects” really meant. But I do now 😁
Your animation style reminds me of the lego movie. Which is a complement. (Even tho the lego movie is CGI). I'm subscribed. Ur vids r AWESOME! Keep it up!
This is cool! It kinda reminds me of something they apparently tried doing for the lightsabers in the original Star Wars (1977), where they put reflective movie screen material on poles and shone lights onto it from off-camera.
I also had this problem, the only solution I had was to put the paper inside and put a transparent 1x1 Lego piece inside so the paper would stay inside.
Quick question, I got the same flashlight off Amazon last week and it was working perfectly but then it just turned off. I checked the batteries, but they were okay. Did this happen to you at all?
A lot of people have said it before, and I’m gonna say it again
This channel is extremely underrated. It needs more attention
Here here.
totally.
Yes
This is such a cool way of doing the effects! I didnt even notice it wasnt cgi
Thanks! I’m a big fan of your blender Animations, so it is really great to hear that from you! 😁
@@Loft_Studios I don’t have a red coloured flashlight. Do you have any other tips?
@@Cats3lifemulticolor
The first scene can solo my entire channel 😭
True 😢
Same😢
U have a channel??
Same bruv
SAME
Yes, paper is incredibly helpful! I use it quite often, too! (The slap at the beginning was personal 😢)
I didn’t realise you used practical effects for everything but I did know you used them a lot. They make your videos really stand out and made me actually try this technique out before you even posted this video lol
ok that's actually insanely cool! the effect works so well for how easy it is to set up
Love the tutorial man! I think I'll try this! Your practical affects look so good too!!!:D
W tutorial, I tend to stay away from digital effects too. I just like the look of practical effects. This paper thing is pretty smart :)
These kinds of videos you make are really cool, helpful, and entertaining! Definitely keep this up!
My God you are a genius. Amazing work. I look forward to using your technique.
This video deserves wayyyyy more views
The humor and animation are very impressive!
This video sold your channel to the moon and back!!!! Its so so good and the effects are insanely good
That was amazing your effect's are outstanding!
Ok man that is sooo smart!!! I thought that there was no way you did the intro without digital effects but boy was I wrong!!!
Wow this is amazing, I guess I’d better get a multicolored flashlight now lol
@@ShaynixProductions Lol Yes very fancy
@@ScheerFilms lol
I have a normal, white flashlight, but I keep some colored foils I got from unpacking candies ;) Very helpful.
Yeah we better get saving
I would say you are one of the most talented animators
A really cool video just like the last one! I like these funny commentary videos and I hope you keep making them and making people laugh!
Oh my God!! you are the next brotherhood workshop!!
That slap was personal
You do the lighting so perfectly wow
Never knew you could use paper and a torch, this will really help my stopmotions too! Thanks!
Bro, I need the sound effects 0:10
I think more people should use this tactic because the flashlight helps add to the lighting showing extra detail in any neon objects this could also work with explosions just as long as it’s in the dark environment it’ll work
I’m loving these tutorial style videos!
Thank you sooo much!!
I was really curious about how you do those stuffs!
They look just so stunning…
Awesome video. I've always just added digital effects, but that is an awesome way of making effects. Be interested in how you do some of the more complicated ones, like big explosions.
Thanks! I’ve never been very good at explosion FX 😅 I can never get it to look just right.
I just subscribed this is so useful thank you so much for making this video i really want to try to make lego stop motions cause its been a dream of mine
Great tutorial, and in just a little above a minute! Great information condensed to minimal time, that's how tutorial's should look like.
That was an awesomeish behind the scenes...I wondered how you did the magic.
Very creative. I love seeing innovative things!! Well done :)
I like how the start was crazy and then he just came in and everyone just stopped😂
THis is incredible! With just paper and a torch!!!
so inspiring, appreciate you sharing your tips with us! (please keep it up!)
So quick question...where do you find sound effects?
I don’t know if this guy does the same but I just search up say “Star Wars blaster sound effect” screen record that then add it in with either stop motion studio or capcut
That looks amazing! I do use lights too but i never thought it could look this good.
Always a pleasure to watch your videos !! Keep going !
This was an awesome tutorial. Lol the hilt at the end 😂
Ik
I’m gonna try this when I get back into stop motion again. Very cool tutorial and very good animation at the start
bro good jub, i love the first scene with all the red blaster fx!!
Keep it up
This was so helpful!
It's a really cool idea, but what do you do to make the paper not fall or bend from the lightsaber? And, for the blaster shots when they are on the air?
I use sticky tak to connect the light saber to the hilt and the blaster shots to the blasters.
Love the video but one question how do put the paper on the item?
Thanks! I use a tiny bit of sticky tack.
Thanks for cool tutorials! However, how do you deal with the situation that needs multiple lights? Should I use multiple flashes?
Yes, I have two flashlights.
Cool idea 👏🏻😁🤖
That is so smart and it looks so good
“The whatever this is” is so true. Animators to this day are trying to figure out what it is
Cool pour se partage simple, mais il fallait y penser. 🤩👍

This is very cool!
That is actually ingenious 🤩
Thx sooooooo much for the manual settings tip. Been using this app for over a year and i have finally solved the problem with lighting thx to you 😭 🍻
No problem! It also took me far too long to realize that I need to be sitting my camera to manual. But it’s a real game changer!
@@Loft_Studios lol 🍻
Really good video!
Only thing is that you should leave a link to the flashlight in the description.
Thanks! I will put a link in the description.
Your animation style reminds me of the lego movie. Which is a complement. (Even tho the lego movie is CGI). I'm subscribed. Ur vids r AWESOME! Keep it up!
This is awesome, engaging and informative
Very useful I will use this in the future also very smooth animation some of the best I have seen/
Your animating is super!❤
That was very useful thank you :)
I like how the white paper reflects the light off the minifigures.
you make the best tutorials imo
The cinematography is beautiful also the stopmotion is So hot
Another awesome and funny video!
Great job! I Subscribed and Liked! 😄
This is cool! It kinda reminds me of something they apparently tried doing for the lightsabers in the original Star Wars (1977), where they put reflective movie screen material on poles and shone lights onto it from off-camera.
If you don’t want to use paper, the regular white bar piece works well, except for when it’s swinging..
Ooooooh I may have to try this for my next light saber test! Save me so much time with effects XD
why is the animation looks so good? I feel I'm watching the lego movie it has that clunky bu nice animation nice job
Thats so dope! do you have a link to the flash light you use?
Thanks! I just put a link in the description.
Babe wake up, Loft Studios just posted
practical effects>
How are you supposed to keep the paper in the saber?
btw I love your vids
Sticky tac 👍
also, how do you make the paper stand up? Paper naturally bends
I also had this problem, the only solution I had was to put the paper inside and put a transparent 1x1 Lego piece inside so the paper would stay inside.
Your a genius👏
This is simply incredible, thanks for sharing!
Excellent tutorial I will have to try this out.
thanks man great tutorial! i used this method and it works so well!
Dude this is sick
Great tutorial the comments at the end killed me 😂
At 1:15 you can see the sticky tac left on the left on a grey slop piece
I could try this but I’ll try using either white parts or transparent parts
so, to make multiple colors (for example, two different colors of lightsabers) would that require two different corwd flashlights?
You cannot convince me that this doesn’t look like the lego movie.
Practical effects look mad!
With a £1.21 budget, this was helpful!
This is exactly wut I needed ,thank you
Amazing tutorial!
this was really helpful thank you so much
I love this effect, but how did you light multiple lasers at once, like im the luke vs droids scene. Do you use more than one flashlight in one scene?
Yep, I have two flashlights.
Thanks for the quick answer, your videos really motivate me!
I know i’m late to this, but it was super helpful! Also, what kind of flashlight is that and how did you get it?
Thanks! I got the flashlight off amazon. There is a link in the description.
Quick question, I got the same flashlight off Amazon last week and it was working perfectly but then it just turned off. I checked the batteries, but they were okay. Did this happen to you at all?
@PopcornAstronautOfficail No I never had any problems with the flashlight. Outside of putting the battery in the wrong way 😅
@@Loft_Studios Okay, I must have done something extremely dumb as usual. (I put the battery HOLDER in the wrong way)
Very Useful!
Thanks for informing us...now I've learn a lot..because my stop motion is not lively as yours .thanks
This was so helpful, thanks 😊
Amazing tutorial:D
Oh hey my comment is in this video
That’s kinda cool
I needed a few more comments to make that last joke at the end. So I figured the post would be a good way to get some 😁
Top Video ✨✨✨
The beginning is the same music for one of my videos
Thanks for the great vid I will do it definitely
Jeez that opening shot
This is sick bro
Amazing video! I’ll maybe try it for new animations ;)
You dropped your lego crown sir
