- Thrift With Me! I Spent What On A 141 Year Old Locket?
This Old Church Has Hidden Treasure! I found an all original 1882 sterling locket, Native American turquoise and Sterling crosses, new old stock of the sterling CZ earrings I wear almost every day, enameld vintage jewelry, a handmade and dated vintage studio artist necklace and valuable and rare vintage costume jewelry! The church itself and the overgrown garden on the grounds made the whole experience feel magical! I will be returning to this antique store soon, it will take days to see everything! Thrift with me!

OOPS I FORGOT TO ASK DAWN, HAVE YOU EVER BEEN TO ENGLAND? IF YOU DO VISIT THE BIRMINGHAM JEWELLREY QUARTER, SOME OF THE OLD PIECES OF SILVER ARE WORTH MORE THAN GOLD.
Right?
Ooh I wish I would have known that when we went a few years back! Loved England ❤️
I can't believe you passed up the lucite lamp with original finial. Especially for the price. I would have found a place to put it!! Lots of pretty things today.
You should really keep that gorgeous silver pendant, it’s special
The large plants are called elephant ears. We have them in Florida. When the weather is right humid and hot they get huge! They are pretty. I have them in my front yard. TFS❤
Thanks for watching and commenting @ThisnThatVintage!
Such beautiful things from the honeypot. The 1882 chain with locket... wow.. can you imagine someone making that all by hand. The chainlinks alone are a piece of art. Just beautiful.
Thanks for watching and commenting @Jasmijn25!
You were patient with the owner. Enjoyed rewatching this video.
I can’t believe all the beautiful things at this location. I would go broke picking out all the beautiful pieces I see that I like. What a treasure trove!!
Thanks for watching and commenting @joanriddle4068!
I'm with you on that!! Too many beautiful things, too little money! And, as I'm on the other side of the world, too high air fare!

Dawn I love this wonderful place , A special place with so much variety, because of having many dealers with their own space! Many years ago I did this and the traffic was great because of the variety. THANK YOU! You made my week, See you Wednesday!
It really is!
Every time you got into that Native American case, I wanted you to slow down so I could greedily look at everything. I hope you'll go back to the secret Honey Hole Church soon!!
Thanks for watching and commenting @cathyalter4949!
The conditions to video there were difficult, I would have loved to but it was hot and I waited so long between pieces and the music was great but loud!
You should just enjoy looking at the beauty of these pieces even if you don’t know anything about them.
The lovely plant looks like it’s an elephant ear plant or colocasia. Yes, they are great, very hardy too.
I love them!
Incredible - 😊🥰 The 1882 piece is breathtaking and such history. I could live in that store and be content forever. Wonderful jewelry! ❤
YES ~ that one is a very very good one
I absolutely adore this beautiful sterling piece
Elephant ear looks so good in pots, especially urn shaped pots. You can dig them out in the fall, store them in a cool, dry, dark place in old pantyhose over winter and replant the yearly.
YAY! thanks
Love this enamel ring

I was in a fine jewelry business for 30 years. The Birmingham 1882 necklace is fabulous especially the chain. I wouldn't let it for less than $2400 - may be sell it for $2200. Just saying.
Right? Thanks Kitchy :)

Hi Dawn! I cannot believe that you didn't want the lucite lamp. It was fantastic. I am so glad you found the earrings to match the one you lost. You deserve it! I did wonder how much they wanted for the Lalique double blossom, perfume bottle. Congrats on the epic locket! ❤

The plant you liked is called elephant ears
The @crazylamplady would li e the glass!!
Thanks for watching and commenting @amyfinch9131!
I have the exact same turquoise cross pendant. Mine has no markings.
The mystery remains
The stone in the necklace that you called “The Star of the Show” is not malachite, it is an Eilat stone. It is only found in southern Israel. Secondly, on the shelf with the cinnabar earrings, there were earrings with Roman glass which is around 2,000 years old. Don’t get Roman glass wet; it will flake apart.
Thanks Lynne for your feedback~ it is inscribed azurite malachite on the back with the signature and the date. I did not know that about roman glass! :)
@@HUDSONVINTAGE Please consider researching the Eilat stone. I saw that it was inscribed malachite. Isn’t malachite green only? The Eilat stone is blue and/or green. I own a number of jewelry pieces with the Eilat stone which I purchased in Israel-I know it when I see it!
It’s malachite and azurite. The azurite is the blue and you’re correct about the malachite always being green. I collect crystals and have several jewelry pieces with this combo. They’re so beautiful!
Hello Dawn, Do you know how to repair jewelry? I'm just curious. Thanks for another great video.
It depends

Did you mean the guy? He did not want to be seen or heard
You forgot those two necklaces that you wanted to see
Hello dawn Im Moving to a new residence and can't figure out how to move my large custom jewelry collection.
I've looked at large jewelry suitcases.
It won't fit Because naturally, everything is shaped so Any advice you can give me thank you It's not big time expensive. I just love these pieces. Thank you dawn
Buy cake carriers and baggies from the dollar store. Put each piece in it's own bag and fill the carriers. Tap the lids to the carriers to secure them and then stack them in your moving boxes :)
@@HUDSONVINTAGE I really appreciate it thank you so much and I absolutely love watching your videos. I feel like I'm shopping with you. When you do it, thanks again.
Bummer. The lamp was good.
You must’ve had a heart attack when you snapped the back off that earring!
Not my fault! It was obvious in person :)
Where is this? I'd drive just for this
Plant was a elephant ear
I would of grabbed 5 items out of the glass case. I do know native American stuff.
That's about all I know about glass. Lol
I'm asian, native and french

Thanks for watching and commenting @ccya157!
The rings on the locket were marked sterling. Wouldn’t that make them newer?
Hi! Sterling is correct, 925 is newer. Have a great day!
I tried ordering cuz earrings but wouldn’t take my CC ?
Weird! Text me and I'll send a button
Hey lady I have NOT getting texts for auctions. I'm missing the group. Please help!
I used to get notifications but now I am not and am missing your auctions. Can you please add me again?
That looks like elephant ears that plant
Thanks for watching and commenting @catherinethompson2525!
Dang did they say anything about the earring that broke?
They said not my fault don't worry
@HUDSONVINTAGE oh my gosh the harsh antique folks around here would never
Lucky lady! You scored some great treasure. That locket! Amazing.
Where is the RUclips store? I’ve never heard of a RUclips store.
It's the pictures of things for sale under the video, or tap "products" and you will see it!
What if you snap a pic of each thing you want to look at.
A good idea~ the problem is I'm recording video, so stopping recording to take pictures just adds another step to mess up video, and the thing you don't see is he would show me one thing, then I would wait for 20 minutes, then another thing.. a lot of the time. And it was so hot
Can I come thrift with you?❤
Thanks for watching and commenting @lindab7383!
Sorry, that guys whole attitude.
With a capitol A 😀
That goes whole attitude and demeanor was very annoying. I could even tell on camera.
Yeah it's true!
Again with the eating, so I wonder if you were part of the corporate world and you had a huge meeting with some of your biggest clients and you did the same thing that you do on RUclips. They’re in an office with clients in front of you in a corporate setting with that fly I can listen to you talk about jewelry for almost ever, but I can’t stand having to hear you chew shame on you.
back at ya honey bunny~ there are better ways to communicate. I hope you are more competent in person at communicating. Have a great day!
