Such incredibly important information. Such a great description of our pain attacks and how it ties to PTSD. Thank you!! I am wondering if this will be available as a transcript. It' challenging to read the captions and the information in the slides. Thank you.

In July of '24, if I make it, I'll be 75 and have been suffering with T.N. for F I F T Y Y E A R S. T.N. is a terrific "life ruiner". The Creator knew I'd have to live with T.N., but He made me anyway... It's not very encouraging to know that T.N. will be with me until the end.

@@ranagauravus Seizure meds. like dilantin, carbamazepine, tegretol, etc. all with bad side effects. Had a rhizotomy, but never an mvd operation. The disease is called the "suicide disease" and if it wasn't for using alcohol to temporarily stop the severe, awful pain, I'd have been a statistic... I could write a book on the painful, negative experiences I've had to live with during my 50 years with T.N. I wouldn't wish T.N. on my worst enemy !

@@JeffHogue-em6zx but why mvd did not opted, any special reason like negative side effects or recurrence rate is high or other issue and how alcohol stopped pain like if attack happen then at that time you take alcohol in pain

@@ranagauravus $$$ Too, I've read where in some cases, the pain returned after the operation. There are chances of undesirable complications post operative incidences especially something I really don't want...hearing loss (I am a musician). No, at my advanced age, I figure I'm going to ride it out. It would take years of mental recovery, to try and get back to a normalcy of existence in my life if I had the operation and it stopped the pain. As a side note, having T.N. for so long, it has made me not want to really speak or to hang with anybody. When I was on the job, I didn't want anybody asking me a question, for having to answere,, it was awfully painful. Don't know how I kept my job ! I don't blame anyone for not understanding, but T.N. is much more than super-pain, it changes the mind on how to live and survive, as you're getting the crap beat out of you with pain 24/7 and you never know when the episode will end ! It lasts for several months... Lovely, right ? Ok, so long. All the best to you and may you NEVER develop the dreaded trigeminal neuralgia.

It's also not possible to see the bottom of the slide, due to placement of the doctor's face on screen.
