Things are so different today in this technological age which is very evident when albums like this are listened to. There was a certain respect for God, country, and one's fellow man that we seem to have lost. Much of today's culture is robbing people of happiness and community. This album is a breath of fresh air.
If only we could go back, when God mattered to everyone. When we would dress upfor holidays and be with family and friends. When it really mattered. To bad we lost that !
@@cynthiadahle5515 Ha ! Not at all. I'm just saying that many haven't lost that and for those who did they can correct things. For once, something reasonably simple to fix 😁
Analog rules! Digital drools....I'm glad these collections, once looked down on by "audiophiles" are now available again.. But to really appreciate how GOOD some of the performances and audio engineering really was,, is to listen in ANALOG via the original LP's or tapes on a really good playback system.. But nevertheless these albums, often marketed as budget lp's lifted the spirits of millions each Christmas system in the post WW2 era.....
I was enamored with this one when I first found it on your channel..... this was published the year I was born! I immediately did a Google search and was disappointed to find not one copy listed for sale ...... I was at one of our local thrift stores, looking through booth after booth of lps... I was overjoyed, ecstatic really, to find a copy in relatively good condition for $2.00! Listening to my own copy as I type this out..... Gorgeous! Absolutely gorgeous! Keep them coming my friend! Keep them coming! On a side note, Wyncote Records was in existence from 1964 to 1967......very short time but this collection alone is a reason to be happy that the company was around at all.
One of my favorites as a kid was Organ & Chimes and The Living Strings. When I saw this I gave it a listen and totally forgot about it. My parents had this and played it religiously. Thank you for sharing! 🎄🎅
I just found your channel. What a great resource you've provided for we Christmas album hunter and gatherers. I saw this album for sale on EBay and was unfamiliar with the music style and sound. Your audio provision here made the purchase complete. Thanks for taking the time to record and upload these sweet albums here for all of us to enjoy. Its a tedious task I can only imagine. Beautiful job. Peace and happiness to you. 👍
There are some Audio issues on this record. However, I decided to share this record in case anyone wanted to hear it or remember it from Christmas past.
Very nice album. Thanks for posting it, even with the audio issues. Through the years, I have noticed that albums by this orchestra usually are quite satisfying to listen to and with overall very tasteful, beautiful arrangements...and NOT the predictable, run-of-the-mill arrangements one might expect from a more "budget" label. I've seen this album a number of times at thrift stores. The next time I see it, I'm going to pick it up. The overall sound, approach to the music and arrangements is very much a smattering of the "101 Strings" and "Mantovani"...note the Mantovani "cascading strings/smears" in "Deck the Halls," for example. I wouldn't be at all surprised if this release is really one of those orchestras "in disguise," which is a common thing on budget labels..."rebranding.". Even the comment on the jacket regarding "110 musicians" is suspicious. At this price point, we wouldn't want anyone thinking they are listening to the "101 Strings," now WOULD we!?" Nope! Rest assured, it's the "110 musicians"!
Beautiful ❤️. God bless you and thank you for sharing 🙏🎄☃️🙏. Unfortunately we didn't see your video until after Christmas 🎄. We definitely will be listening to it in 2924. 🙏☃️🎄☃️🙏
I purchased a record of these carols in the later sixties. I still have the album and it brings back so many memories. Thank you for playing this album.
As you are listening to and enjoying this, consider this is budget or at least minor label effort. It's not a red seal or Columbia masterwork or mercury living presence but sit back and it's the overall Christmas experience the average listen got and gets from this effort. Compare this to what you pay and what you get today...case closed folks.
The original recording was titled- Al Goodman Orchestra "Christmas Symphony" Stereo 1959. I posted that one about 4 years ago. Thanks for your comment.
@@christmasrecords12-25 All these years listening to both at different times and I never noticed it's the same album. Can you shed any light on that please? Did they just simply repackage Al Goodman's album?? And thank you for always replying.
Such a joy to hear. Unfortunately Google and You Tube are limiting and censoring free speech. God forbid that they start deleting expressions of Christian faith.
And absolute wonderful album. Thank you so much for your time and efforts posting this what a great cover Christmas favorites I think the counter is wrong. Are you sure it’s not one 1,000,000 views?😊
Enjoy all your Christmas album downloads. Thank you for sharing. I did notice the album cover says “Stereo” across the top yet when you tap “more” for further information it says it’s Wyncote monaural? Just curious.
Yes "stereo" was sometimes duophonic or electronically simulated stereo, which meant that it emulated stereo. This was common for records in the late 50's and into the mid 60's. If this record is fake stereo, I might have chosen to go "mono." The budget labels had a tendency to advertise some stretchers, but they were often very inexpensive and charming records. The cover on this one is distinctive and if you owned it you would remember it! The other side of the coin is that there was a rush by record companies to produce a lot of Christmas records in the 1950's and 60's due to the popularity of console stereos. That usually meant that again in the rush to produce there were editing mistakes and other issues. Thank You for the comment!
Now THAT is the real way Christmas should be, without a fakeroo dude name S.C. , a reindeer, a snow man and none of the New Year's stuff that belongs in its own separate holiday and not in Christmas, the two were totally different. its like mixing Lincolin's birthday with Valentine's day
There are audio issues on some of the budget records. We post them anyway because people still like to reminisce. All the same thanks for letting us know.

This was the highest quality of music then. Then the Gramophone? 😅
Thank you!
Really well played and sound is fine budget label notwithstanding. My fondness for the lowly budget labels continues to grow. Thanks for the rescue.
Around the 18:00 counter I encountered some profound audio issues continuing for several minutes. Still listening 12/4/2024!
This recording inspired me to search for a copy of this LP on ebay.
Thank you so much. To Jesus Christ the glory now and forever!
This is a very nice recording despite the "audio" issues! Thank you so very much for the upload!
Thank you for uploading this record.
