    The chilled approach to this review is satisfying to watch..it really simulates an actual day using the Cygnus in familiar environment..very informative as well. I could live with a Cygnus

    I concur what most of the comments say, I really like your relaxed approach, and none of those hyped borderline shouting videos. Hope you keep it up. Peace brother.

    Thank you. I bought my current Prado 3.4 V6 2006 daliy driver on the basis of the reviews from your videos and i love it. Maintainance and fuel economy is great. The power is also good. I was shopping for a land cruiser 100 series and i stumbled on this and ro be honest the fule bit is my biggest concern but after watching thia I am comfortable. Again thank you for being our go to guy.

    You always look and sound relaxed while driving and filming inside the Cygnus (as is the case of all the other RUclipsrs who drive and film this vehicle imo). Thanks for sharing those stats on the fuel consumption. It ain't no Prius, but I ain't mad at it. 👊😎

    Almost finished working on my Nissan patrol ZD30 turbo (Manual transmission). I'll be doing similar tests soon. One thing I'm already sure of, It won't be as quiet as this one. But I hope I can compensate that with better fuel economy.

    I think 5km/L is 20L/100km. My LX470 does this, and I find that very disappointng. I have a 95L main tank and a 45L reserve tank, That gives me a range of just over 600kms which is very impractical for touring in Australia. I always carry extra fuel in jerry cans for outback trips. In comparison, my diesel Range Rover 4.4L SDV8 averages 8.7L/100km on mixed city/country driving, so has a range of over 1000km, with no reserve tank! I am about fit a Unichip Q to the Lexus in the hope of improving its fuel economy - the headers didn’t, it just sounds better!

    • @MasaiGainz
      @MasaiGainz  4 месяца назад

      Hey buddy,
      Remember 5km/L is the city mileage I’m getting and nairobi is very up & down roads and traffic. On the highway and on a trip you should average 6.5-7km /L . Which means on a long trip the 96L stock tank should give you 600km . The extra 45L would be another 290 km.
      can’t compare to a Range Rover as these are totally different beasts the Land Cruiser will keep going even after another 20 years. If you like great fuel efficiency, the new BMW, Range’s , Mercedes can certainly give that. But out in the wild, I’d have my Land Cruiser .
      It will get you home.

      I love the 2UZ , it’s depends on your preference
      The petrol v8 sounds amazing, drives so smooth, very quiet, very durable, easy to service and keep going in the long run.
      1hdfte also a great engine and just as durable if not more, but it’s a diesel so it’s loud, low end torque and better fuel economy. Injectors on these needs replacing every 100,000km and can be pricey , other items also need service more regularly

    Why are people measuring by km to the litre, when trip computers of all brands of cars since the 1980s have displayed in litres per 100km? There is a fuel economy display in that Cygnus. Why not just show the display and talk in litres per 100km? So confusing for simple people like me!!!! 😅

      @MasaiGainz perfect content for me! Thanks for your good work. In Malaysia we only get Landcruiser and Cygnus imports from Japan - we never had the Lexus LX 470’s as Lexus was not even launched in Japan until after the end of the 100 series production run. I’m curious if your 2UZFE is 235 or 275 Hp thanks to VVTi as my research suggests that only Lexus Lx 470’s had exclusive use of that variant for ‘06 and ‘07 years.
