I fell out of my chair! Wow! You recently purchased a Sailor - yay! I have the same pen in the standard size - beautiful color. Enjoy it!

Dave, do you like the Sailor Pro Gear Slim model?

I really prefer the King of Pens, I find the Sailor Pro Gear Slim model a bit too thin for my hands, even the regular Sailor Pro Gear a little too small.

I recently purchased the KoP and now it's the only pen I write with. I agree that the small size convertor is not the most user-friendly. Like you, I have solved this with the Pineider Pen Filler which does the job beautifully and with no mess! I was delighted to see that you recommend it for use with the KoP. Thanks for your review. Just 2 questions: You said it has an international cartridge convertor but I think it's a proprietary convertor and second, you said it's a #8 size nib but I think it's a #9. Maybe I am wrong so I'd love your opinion. Thanks for the great review.

You are correct on the Sailor converters being proprietary, the nib size is a #8.

Sailor KOP has the best nib in market (better than Namiki). Sadly the ink capacity is very low. If it had an ink capacity of at least 2ml, would have been the ideal fountain pen. Don’t know why Sailor is not willing to change.
