The 427 CI & 454CI motors were not LS6/5.7 lt engines. They were based off the C5R Aluminum blocks.

    Thanks Matt!!
I greatly appreciate you covering these!! I live in Grand Rapids, Michigan but somehow wasn't aware of these!!
I'm very familiar with Berger Chevrolet's heritage with special and limited edition cars dating back to the 1970's, but i didn't know about these!!
I love them all, I'll take the hugger orange one!!

Yep, it had a big feature on it back in the. day. Our display has since been featured in several magazines, too. Be sure to check those out.

Should it be LS7 for the 427 not LS6? Awesome Camaros....wow.

      I questioned that ls6 427 comment too

    • @ryandatko3548

No. The C5R 7.0 corvette race motor used was a LS6 based block and was 427ci. The standard phase 1 cars used a standard LS6 rated around 400hp.

C5R block and LS6 based top end components ( heads, cam etc) That's why the lid sticker says C5R- LS6
