Formed in Florida, alternative rock band Matchbox Twenty consists of Rob Thomas, Brian Yale, Paul Doucette, and Kyle Cook. The group signed with Atlantic Records in 1995, creating four studio albums including 12x platinum ’Yourself or Someone Like You’ and 4x platinum ’Mad Season’. The band’s debut album spawned the hit singles "Push," "3AM,” "Real World," "Long Day,” and "Back 2 Good” and continued to spit out hits such as "Bent," "Unwell," "If You're Gone," "Bright Lights" and "Disease."
In addition to more than 30 million records sold worldwide, Matchbox Twenty headlined six different tours and has earned many honors, including five Grammy nominations, four American Music Award nods, the 2004 People’s Choice Award for “Favorite Musical Group”, and they were named “Best New Band” in the 1997 Rolling Stone Readers Poll.

I always liked their guitar player. Since the beginning he's just always looked like he genuinely enjoys playing their songs, no matter how easy or difficult his guitar role is in the song.
That's Kyle Cook. He's amazing!
Simply amazing. No auto tune, no synthesizers, no outside help. Nothing but pure talent from Rob and Kyle. I'm not meaning to imply that auto tune, synthesizers, or outside help are necessarily bad things; it's just refreshing to hear a band being able to perform without them. And to do it without Brian and Paul, and still sound incredible, is one of the reasons Matchbox Twenty will always be one of my favorite bands.
I love the way Thomas sings this. It's not just the vocals, but the emoting. It looks like it affects him deeply when he sings it, like he's losing her all over again.
Literally the best band and the whole reason I ever really fell in love with music....just from hearing Unwell in the grocery store

Mine is “Push”. Every time I hear that song, it takes me right back to driving to my college classes, in my French twist bun with a scrunci hair clip, thin eyebrows, hoops, jean overalls and polyester blouse and penny loafers to class it up, with my cross body pleather bag next on my passenger seat. I can just close my eyes and I’m right back there. LOVE YOU MATCHBOX 20!!!! #foreverpartofmyyouth
My mom was obsessed with Matchbox Twenty. And every time I hear this or any of their songs I feel like she's watching. Shes been gone for ten years almost... but I love this and I am glad I was able to listen to this.. beautiful and flawless. Thanks!
You can't get much better than this right here. I became a fan of M20 at the age 21 - I'm now 43 - and the music of these TRUE artists still moves me, and it's bc their talent is exceptional and transcendent! They're incomparable and inarguably in a class of their own. This is proof. It's unbelievably impressive when you perform LIVE! Thank you for making this fan so happy and sharing your music & talent during my lifetime to appreciate... I still can't get over how great and pure y'all sound, even though I've known how blessed y'all are since day one!! You never, ever disappoint.

I love this, not only is it raw voice with guitar. It feels like he’s actually having the conversation that he imagined having when he wrote the song.
Over 20 yrs ago I was at a gig in Hanford, Can., And this DJ guy was throwing cassettes into the audience, and I caught one. Best free thing I ever received, first Matchbox 20 album. Musical geniuses, totally underrated, deserve hall of fame recognition.

Rob Thomas and Kyle Cook are like the Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora team. They just go perfectly together and aren't the same unless they're doing music together. Such Chemistry!! And they are both looking great!

I am 33 years old. I decided on Counting Crows to be my first concert (Which happened to also be touring with Matchbox 20)... which was about 3 years ago. I loved counting crows but didn't go for MB20.... but let me tell you, their stage presence was unreal! It was an amazing show for sure!
Always said if Counting Crows, Goo Goo Dolls and Collective Soul ever did a triple headline near me and my job wouldn't let me off to see 'em, I'd quit to go to it.
My wife and I still rate the Matchbox Twenty Cruise as our #1 vacation, even though due to our flights from CA to FL and bad weather in TX we almost didn't make it and we were so tired when we finally got on board the ship. At the meet and greet Kyle mentioned liking my orange shirt with the guitars on it, I should have offered to trade shirts just for a good laugh. Great memories, especially seeing so many people making so many bad decisions!

Thank you! Moved me as much today, as it did the day it was released. My husband worked a lighting gig for one of their VERY early concerts, and took me that evening to see the show. They were my instant favorite and have continued to be all these years. My husband passed away last year, and going through this Corona thing with our twin girls alone has been hard, to say the least. This video hit me hard in so many different ways. Again, I say Thank you Matchbox 20/Rob Thomas.. the man who sings to my soul!!!

One of the best bands EVER, and that's coming from this Grandma who grew up on Classic Rock! These guys are every bit as good live as on recordings. Can't say that about many singers & groups. Just listen to Kyle's guitar perfection and the perfection of Rob's voice. Simply amazing. Great. Iconic. Perfect.

Thank you for this. Back in 1998, I walked into a dorm room with a MatchBox Twenty Poster signed by all of you on the wall! I was so excited to see it. I learned that day that you, Rob, were the cousin of my dear fellow pharmacy school classmate Mandee. She was so humble, but so proud of you! After her passing this year and hearing you sing this song tonight flooded back so many wonderful memories! Thank you for being one of my all time favorite groups and solo acts to listen to!
