Thank you 💖 Yes indeed, her screening and Sidepart without bangs show it must be her. I'm also guessing the original releases had shorter but better quality hair while this 2008 one must have been released during The time when MGA couldn't source either Nylon or Saran because of some shady Mattel practices going on.
Good Luck. In any case be very careful, I've heard horror stories from collectors having vintage doll hair melt in hot water. 😅 It's always good to test it out by picking out one hair strand in the back to see how it reacts. That's what I forgot to mention while I was flat ironing the hair. Thank you for watching. 💖
To clean and condition doll's hair Don't use human shampoo or conditioner These are artificial fibersespecially vintage Use dishwashing liquid let hair dry at least 10-12 hours I go 24 for vintage Saran hair Then mix 1 tablespoon fabric softener ( I use organic dye free which I get at the health food store but you can use fleecy) mix with warm water and saturate the hair with it Comb it out and then pour boiling water or dip the doll's head in it For vintage Saran let sit to totally dry With the Kinkelon hair which your doll has you can start to style when wet right away Greetings and love from all your friends in Toronto Canada
This is nightly nite 2nd edition Jade! Awesome find !

I’m going to have to try this on my vintage Cher doll. Her hair is in about the same condition! Fingers crossed I can restore her! Thanks for sharing!

She was originally in an afro judging by the hair... LOL
She turned out great!
Thank you 💖
I don't think there's a Jade doll out there, originally with an afro
