It's a great track. Perhaps its loose structure or lack of climax turns people off but I enjoy it for its beautiful swelling melodies that come and go.
Appreciate court of the crimson king back there. The band that doesn't get enough credit. I especially like Starless from Red. My favourite song of all time. It soundtracks my life.
Not sure if you're a Black Midi fan or not (very much recommend you check them out if you aren't familiar) however their lead singer, Geordie Greep just released his debut solo album 'The New Sound' and I heavily recommend you check it out. It's a great mix of progressive rock and jazz rock and sounds fresh.
Massive fan of black midi (I was even lucky enough to see them live during the Hellfire tour) and I will be posting my reaction to The New Sound tomorrow!
@@Randyjoe213 That's awesome I can't wait. I'm jealous you got to see them during that tour, I was planning on seeing them whatever next tour they were gonna do in the US :(
Called it quits it would seem. Geordie himself said "It's iver" during a drunken livestream and then their label made a formal announcement that they're on an indefinite hiatus. Given Geordies comments though since on what it was like working as a band as well as Camerons somewhat bitter reaction to the whole thing, I don't expect an album from them as a unit for a long time, if ever
Great review! How would you rank the songs? My list as of right now goes like 1. No words 2. Zero sum 3. Bodies laughing 4. The slip 5. eyes and mouth 6. Colours fly 7. instant psalm 8. Tiptoe 9. dont get me started 10. foreign spies
Great review. After about six listens I love every track with perhaps the exception of Foreign Spies. Not bad just not as good as the rest. Also might have been better placed in the running order rather than going first. Think this album is slightly better than Wall Of Eyes overall
@@Randyjoe213 I think it may have worked better for me if it was the last track on the album, just seems strange to start the album with it for some reason. However I’m being pedantic, it’s another fantastic album 👍
So many people seem to be hating on Don’t get me started, but I’m completely with you!! I think it’s genius

Wait, people are hating on Don't get me started???? It's a belter.
Foreign spies and DGMS are lacklustre compared to the rest of the
It grew on me. But only took about 5 listens for me to fall in love with it.
I love it.
Initially I want sure about Foreign Spies. Two weeks later it’s one of my favourites. What an album. One that rewards you every time you re-listen.
Amo a The Smile, Cutouts está precioso. 😊

Good news then! I'll be doing a reaction to Red pretty soon on the channel as I've yet to hear it and it'll fit perfectly for Rocktober
Nice review video mate
Completely agree about Don't Get Me Started

Maybe in 30 years when they do a reunion tour you'll have a chance!
@Randyjoe213 - so did the band call it quits, or are they just sort of on an unannounced hiatus like RH have been?

You rank no words so high! Great song, but i'd swap it with foreign spies.

I've seen that said about Foreign Spies a few times now and personally it's one of my favourite tracks. Just love the atmospheric sombre tone of it
