i think the silent start with acoustic vibe and then more of the bass + drums gives waaaaay more originity to the song, especially to this new album they are making, seems like a lively outro
There no doubt will be strings added too, they’ll probably smooth out the bit between the main sections too with those strings so its less abrupt like it is here
The quiteness, and rather cynical sounds. I'm really feeling a strong Wall of Eyes (the song) vibes here. Interesting, considering they both are opener and closer. Looking forward to see how it's like on the studio version.
@@SETRAAKI iirc someone had asked thom a year or so ago about it, and thom mentioned that they've been working on it since 1995? we know that bodies laughing has been around for ages though, it also appeared on the blackboard as a song name when radiohead was recording in rainbows so take that w/ what you will
They always take a great idea for a song, then strip it down to a bare minimum. I wish sometimes they'd just let the song retain its original arrangement... With a bit more energy and oomph... Happened with Videotape
I agreed about this being a little underwhelming. Looking at it tho, I think they're trying to maintain cohesion within the album and avoid being too unattached like LP1. The first version is good as itself but this one presumably is fitting in the context of LP3.
Wow! Bodies Laughing just keeps evolving!!
3:29 Knives Out too ! 😄

Both versions are superb, this one in studio mode will be a gem.

3:29 to 3:44 is pure and utter magic

Omg Thom's little dances just get more cute over time lol. Do you think this song is really from 1995?
Was there anyone saying its from 1995?

First verse lyrics a bit modified, right? ''...into your heart...'' does he say?

RIP the old version. Studio version is the same as this one unfortunately.
I for one love the new version
