+beingsshepherd furry tape is good for sliding windows and doors but still lets in some air. the compression tape is great for hinged windows and doors and forms a better seal. You can test on a blowy day ... get an insence stick (if you can stand the smell!) and light it. Hold it around the door and look for the stream of smoke to move. If it's blowing about madly there are still draughts. If not, a good seal of approval is achieved. You could also just feel the cold air on a damp hand. Good luck
shut the door stand in the outside open a window somewhere in the house if you feel a vacuum effect when you put your hands near the frame of the door then you have not sealed it properly
Try the V-profile draught-proof tape. Or just venture down the draught-proofing isle and your will find some thicker tape that might fill the gap. It's trial and error in many ways. Brilliant thank you. Did the same to my internal doors windows. Makes a huge difference. 😃
Great to hear!
Thanks for this. I really like that you showed how to make the adjustments.
That's always the trickiest bit I think.
Great video
Thanks!
Awesome stuff, thank you!
Glad you liked it!
Why not the furry type tape?
How ought one test for whether they've sufficiently blocked the draught?
