Testing current transformers at manufacturers

At the very beginning of their lifecycle, during the manufacturing process, current transformers undergo several testing stages. Current transformer manufacturers have to assure the performance data of the products they deliver: The accuracy of amplitude and phase angle, the performance rating described by the accuracy limiting factor or the terminal voltage for protection type current transformers, and the instrument security factor for metering current transformers. For TPX, TPY and TPZ CTs, several additional parameters describe their transient behavior.
