Remember how Shinobu was teasing Giyu about how no one likes him? He stands away from the main group of hashiras and seems a bit on the lonesome side. I think Rengoku speaking to him often meant a lot to Giyu. 🥺
Just so you know, Rengoku isn't a glutton. Soldiers were taught to enjoy every bite of every meal as though it could be their last ones. Rengoku literally enjoys every bite and appreciates everything he is given.
Everytime I see that flashback scene between Rengoku and his father I tear up, it's crazy how similar he was to his father, specially with how he sheaths his sword
Giyu saying rengoku speaks to him often is honestly really revealing of Rengoku's character since shinobu said that nobody really talks to giyu. Its nice to know theres someone who spoke to Giyu often, im sure it meant alot to him.
It’s not that no one talks to him. Giyu purposefully keeps his distance from the other hashira. It’s explained why when his backstory gets told after the next arc
It was cruel of them to take such an amazing character like Rengoku away so quickly.. but I guess it sets the stakes vs the upper moons. Can't believe we're finally here at Season 2 proper!!
Rengoku's death was incredibly powerful for so many reasons: 1. Precedence for future fights: Even the seemingly unbeatable Hashira can be defeated at full strength. Now any character is fair game to be lost. 2. Fragility of human life vs demons: While being asked to become a demon, Rengoku comments on the ephemeral beauty of a fleeting human lifespan. 3. Sacrifice: What mattered most to Rengoku was that not a single passenger on the train was killed. His mother explains how he was born strong and has to make sacrifices to protect others. He sees the same in Nezuko, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke, how they are willing to sacrifice to save others. 4. Perseverance: 'Set your heart ablaze!!!" he tells Tanjiro that no matter what, life will not wait up for him. No matter how hopeless and beaten down he feels, he must grit his teeth and move forward. This is coming at a moment of frustration for Tanjiro because everytime he reaches a milestone there is a seemingly impossible task that comes up next. 5. Ties of family and friendship: Perhaps the most overarching theme in Demon Slayer is that of love and family. The raw emotion when Rengoku sees his mother as he passes away is hard to top. Rengoku loves his mother, brother, and even his father with all his heart, so when he sees the bond between Nezuko and Tanjiro he is quick to understand. In terms of friendship, we basically only knew the flame hashira for one movie yet Tanjiro screaming at Akaza has to be one of the most gut-wrenching VA performances of all time. The boys are devastated and it's the first time we see them feeling completely lost and helpless, which gives a very human aspect. Even Inosuke has completely turned and wore his heart on his sleeve when normally he would try to play his emotions off. Yet despite all this, their friendship with each other and respect for others like Rengoku is what keeps the boys going and wanting to get stronger. Rengoku's death was ridiculously sad but it added so so much to the story that Demon Slayer just wouldn't have been the same any other way.

If they are this sad about Rengoku passing away this early ( SPOILER WARNING!!! ) than I can't imagine what it will be like in the Infinity Castle Arc!!
Fun Fact Time! The reason Rengoku says "UMAI!" after every bite is because hes the groups Samurai allegory. Samurai were TAUGHT to savor every bite of a meal because at any time it could be their last.
This episode is anime original, so I think you guys chose correctly by having your first experience with Rengoku through the movie, as that is way the creator of Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer) intended.
It is sad we lose Rengoku so soon, but I kind of liked it simply cause it gives you such a feel of just how powerful the upper look are- AND, the hashira don’t have plot armor. It feels more realistic in that since. But definitely sad.
Personally I’m this universe I think going out in a 1v1 against an upper rank is easily the greatest way to go out especially if you are the only one that died when it could have easily been hundreds
The fact they killed rrngoku is that the production team has to go with the manga..manga is the refference the use for story boarding and animating with few changes such as the flaming tiger...the flaming tiger is anime originals ..... Rengoku dies according to the manga but he'll still be alive in our hearts...rengokusan♥️♥️♥️
Please tell me this is the only episode you guys will be watching from this arc... What comes right after is just the movie, which youve already seen, and then S3, the Red District one
The deal between demons and demon slayers is, a demon slayer would have to be way more stronger than the demon to defeat it. If the demon and demon slayer are somewhat on par with each other the demon would eventually win, since humans cannot regenerate and get weaker/slower as time passes. You'd have noticed that with Rengoku's last battle

She right will love him more💙
Fun Fact Time!
The reason Rengoku says "UMAI!" after every bite is because hes the groups Samurai allegory. Samurai were TAUGHT to savor every bite of a meal because at any time it could be their last.
Anime always has the best cooking and food details
You should also watch the nin nins and Taisho era secrets from episodes 2-7
Thank you for the video
btw the name 'rengoku' is his family name/surname, his name is kyojuro, his brother's name is rengoku senjuro
the discussion about akaza goes really intense : o
Love the intro🔥🔥
This episode is anime original, so I think you guys chose correctly by having your first experience with Rengoku through the movie, as that is way the creator of Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer) intended.
The brightest flame. The righteous flame.
2:21 la mejor de todas 🎸🙏❤️🔥
good catch 6:00 he bought all the boxes so they would leave
I thought you guys would have loved akaza but to each their own I guess 😄
guys have you already watched the whole series? from hearing your conversations looks like youve already watched it
It is sad we lose Rengoku so soon, but I kind of liked it simply cause it gives you such a feel of just how powerful the upper look are- AND, the hashira don’t have plot armor. It feels more realistic in that since. But definitely sad.
The hashira actually get paid whenever they ask
Personally I’m this universe I think going out in a 1v1 against an upper rank is easily the greatest way to go out especially if you are the only one that died when it could have easily been hundreds
Just wanna send Ubuyashiki a letter like hey, send another Hashira along with Rengoku on the train. Please.
Oh Ange is gonna love the next arc
I think you'll like the next Hashira as well.
Movie was amezing and sad also ❤️😭
Make sure to watch the OP and ED of the Magen Train arc series
The fact they killed rrngoku is that the production team has to go with the manga..manga is the refference the use for story boarding and animating with few changes such as the flaming tiger...the flaming tiger is anime originals ..... Rengoku dies according to the manga but he'll still be alive in our hearts...rengokusan♥️♥️♥️
Rengoku what a character..
Please tell me this is the only episode you guys will be watching from this arc... What comes right after is just the movie, which youve already seen, and then S3, the Red District one
Red District is not Season 3, it's Season 2 Second Arc. Season 3 is Blacksmith's Village coming next year
@@zamhobby9662 i know, im calling this one season 2 cause they named it 2x01. Theyre already considering this S2
@@_syzygy_ But they will confuse when the true S3 arrive next year when called S2 second arc a S3
@@zamhobby9662 Whatever, my comment is not gonna clear or worsen their confusion either way
@@_syzygy_ what’s wrong with watching the episodes. Don’t know why you people get so butthurt over it
You guys must React to BLUE LOCK!! its so recommend anime to react!!!!!
How about you guys also watch Taisho Secrets from 2x2 to 2x7? It gonna worth it
3:15 Noodle Breathing
Oh man, I wish they saw upper 1, but that's far future :)
Rengoku❤️💕💕
Ayooo....chill out on destroying akaza 😂he's literally my favorite
