She was my favorite. It is not all about technical or fast cutting skills like rest of the competitors. She had soul and flavor in her cuts.

I'm curious about the single turntable technique. Is the backing track played off of a laptop or something and are the DJs typically producing those backing tracks? Also, I assume the 45s are custom for this with just a series of cuts for each side? It's very cool. Thanks.

i enjoyed this a lot, great cuts. However I felt most of them used the double cut either side of the fader wayyyy too much. ( a feature of jesse dean and some other faders that cut both sides of the mini fader) It sounds un-natural and a bit gimmecky imo :D I just use a 'one side cut' innofader mini in my portable. But still good to see the progression of the set ups from the stock PT01 with bouncey needles to the improved Jesse Dene carbon tone arms and the Omnis look interesting. There is some dodgy reverb going on creating a bit of echo as well as someone else mentioned
