Solution: RFID chip in the baseballs. Sensors at the plate. Automated calls for strikes/balls. The technology starts at home plate, and eventually expands to the gloves, cleats, and bases. Eventually you wouldn't need an umpire because the calls are either yes or no, where no one can argue the technology. I'd also like to see a countdown for batters after each at bat, similar to the NBA shot clock. I also think the camera angles are ineffective. With the available technology, we should be able to flip through the angle we want to see. Behind the plate, camera mounted to catchers helmet, directly behind the pitcher from center field, etc.

Maybe they nos should grab their balls from their wife’s purse and not be offended someone didn’t agree with them. When the other teams announcers have to admit you’re going on a power trip, you know you’re in the wrong. These guys have been working on their craft and earned every dollar, maybe find a job and contribute as much as s they do and you’ll be paid the same. Their value is worth more than yours, they bring in millions in merchandise and saws. You bring in single digits for your employer, 2 different worlds
Can’t wait for the days of robot umps that never make a mistake
Ump: Having a bad day
Catcher: "U ok?"
Ump: "UR OUTTA HERE!!!"
You will never see buster posey on this video....
Umpires love to grandstand .
He said, “nope, give me the ball.” Lol
When are some of these umpires going to be reprimanded by the league?
That last pitch by Burnet fooled batter and umpire
Solution:
RFID chip in the baseballs.
Nah, won’t work
Good job catchers me personally am a catcher so this is great
I would love to see an ump charge the plate against Chapman😂😂
Nobody can “show up”an ump, but an ump can do his strike three ringup dance to show up a hitter
There has to be accountability for these umpires.
Umpire union: Yeah… about that…
Even an old traditionalist like me is starting to side with the proponents of electronics calling balls and strikes after watching that last clip. That pitch was right down the middle!
Nothing worse than an umpire who thinks the crowd is there to watch him ump.
The umpire says " Stop looking at me swan!!! "
Replace umps with computers. Please. It's so overdue.
Nahhhhhhhhh
Russell Martin has dealt with way too many of these situations lol
