Regarding catching Marianne, we know in hindsight that she was injured (torn psoas). That is one scenario where 2nd repassing 1st makes sense.
I think Katie doesn't quit because she's a Mainer. Hardy stock.
Being a Mainer might have laid a sturdy foundation but I think it’s all her time in NH that built her up to who she is. 😀
