- This interview is part of Good Morning, Mont Blanc. This is the inaugural year of Freetrail’s daily morning show, kicking off with the 20th anniversary of the Ultra Trail Mont Blanc (UTMB), the most important global event in the sport of trail running. The show is hosted each day by professional athlete, Dylan Bowman. Every afternoon, Dylan interviews top athletes and favorites for the races.
In this interview, Dylan talks to professional athletes Katie Schide (The North Face) and Germain Granger (The North Face), about their upcoming races at OCC and UTMB respectively. They talk about what it was like supporting each other during their incredible performances earlier this summer at the Mont Blanc 90k and the Western States 100. They talk about their seasons, training and how they are feeling heading into one of the most competitive race weeks of the year.

What an awesome pair. I think they are both candidates for the W in their respective races. Germain a dark horse perhaps but he has the chops and it's clearly been a focus for them both, with Germain just having his 2022 plans derailed.
Man I wish that Katie was doing UTMB this year! I think she would beat Courtney.
Why do you think so? Courtney won Western States 100 in front of her and also Hard Rock 100, I guess she will win UTMB as well :)
@@_alexjulia_ I think she could have beat Courtney this time because Katie didn’t do Hardrock haha. But yes, team Courtney for UTMB!
