Thank you so much I really needed to hear that. 1st year 2nd semester in AASN program in med surge & mental health I have took my foot off the gas. I just met with my advisor they told me I still have a chance so I'm going to give myself a chance and apply my time better in studying. Some people make it seem easy peasy and I don't relate that is not my experience I tend to process slower than everyone else. You have a new subscriber I don't have to give up thank you.

Kaila C, you will do AMAZING things, and each day intentionally decide to do better, be stronger, and take action towards your goal! You've got this, friend! 😊

How would you suggest I tackle self study topics? For each specialty we are required to self teach about half the required chapters. Instructors do not give any leads on topics covered in the chapter just learn everything. HELP!!

You CAN do this, Shelly Ramirez!! Don't give up! Meet with your instructor, communicate with them how you are studying and ask them how you can be successful in their course. Focus your reading on what they are covering in class, and then for the things they don't cover (but say you need to know) focus on the main topics for those areas. You can continue to communicate with your instructor to make sure you are focusing your time on the right areas too! You've got this!

So Im in my 4th week of nursing school and i feel like I’m drowning. I have no idea what my learning style is! So im making flashcards..didnt work. Re reading the PowerPoints over and over…didn’t work. Today im trying to go over the PowerPoints and make an outline then use active recall on each point of my outline that i made. What do you think? Is that effective?
