Superb as expected Mr IlfordRetro. This is part of Ilford I don’t know. I only think of Mr Goldie, Gilbies of Wood Green in Ley St.
Thanks very much for the feedback @thebohemian You have a good recollection of the former Gilbies shop at the other end of Ley Street. It's something of an Ilford enigma and would be wonderful if brought back to life.
Wow I sort of recall that on Ley Street. I also remember Plessey building too
yes Plessey wasn't too far away
@@IlfordRetro that building was very distinctive. Every time I go through the still think about Plessey. Hopefully be back on my Ilford run soon when I next passing as always
@@rajnirvan3336 it was very imposing wasn't it. Good to have you back visiting your home town as always.
@@IlfordRetro thanks
I remember when I was at school going in my lunch break to see the thrust 2 car it had just broken the land speed record it was on display outside plesseys.
Can you do a video on the north side of Holstock road
Does Episode #017 Grosvenor Road cover it?
