So didn't Manmohan Singh win elections in the name of religion? He said "Muslims have the first right on Hindu property, isn't this the politics of religion?🙏🕉️🚩🇮🇳

Something of note I'd like to point out is an observation the AP found when interviewing voters in one of their previous videos on the election.
Modi is popular (by one measure), and by extension, so is his party, but there are rising concerns about fundamental issues that have arisen under his term.
Instead of voting against the government, though, there seems to he a phenomenon of the electorate being "regime-pilled" for lack of a better term.
There hope is that, with more time, the government, as is, will resolve the problems they face, and this tendency to have confidence in the BJP no matter what discourages enthusiasm for opposition parties.
