Thank you for posting this!! So far, I have noticed I enjoy fit and controls are more important to me than sound quality. This doesn't seem bad at all!!
I'm so glad you were finally able to review these. I've watched many other reviews on the AZ60 but none have been as detailed as yours. Every ear is different but I can see how the design could cause discomfort. While I'm sorry you had an issue with fit I appreciate you sharing your experience to aid us in making an informed decision. Other reviews generally praised these and, while there's plenty to like, I felt like it was an incomplete picture. Thanks for another outstanding review! 👍
I had to return the AZ60 for comfort issues also, everything your video mentions is spot on. I did get the AZ40 after, and fit is Great, but lack of LDAC and the 8mm drivers, you most definitely can tell the difference is sound quality and Bass. I do enjoy them, just wish the AZ60 was as comfortable.
Was looking at the AZ60M2 following the recent drop in price but I need the best possible ANC and it won't cut it compared to the Bose QC, especially since the QCII and QC Ultra have improved on the original QC.
@@AndysTechTone Well it's not all I need but I want the best ANC available ;-) The QC II/Ultra are great but they're "semi-open" so don't isolate as much passively as the Sony XM5's and that's useful for voices. Foam tips degrade quickly unfortunately. For long train trips I use the Bose QC SE and they create a nice "bubble" I'm not sure earbuds can really compete with that.
Not sure "semi-open" is the description I'd use for the Bose buds since there are eartips that sit snugly in your ear canals. Not foam tips for sure but I reckon that at the end of the day what matters is the total amount of noise blocked out regardless of how much of it comes from passive isolation and active noise cancellation
@@AndysTechTone Agreed on the overall isolation. Since you can't turn off ANC/Ambient (a problem for wind noise...) on the Bose it's impossible to differentiate between passive/active anyway.
Technics - the most desirable equipment in PL in the 80s. The dream of many, the possession of few. I guess the stem is too short, that's why they might get loose while 🏃 . Thx 4 the review 👍
Thank you for this review. Incredibly detailed and echoed most of my own thoughts on these earbuds. I agree 100% on the case quality, and it is IMO the worst thing about these earbuds. That being said, I generally find them very comfortable, and when they do bother my ears, it's actually the back part and not the little bump on the inside. Overall, I think these are still the best earbuds on the market currently. If Technics can address case quality, ear sensors, and wireless charging in the next version, they will sit atop the world of earbuds.
Great review, as always. I own the Panasonic RZ-S500W and as Technics belongs to Panasonic it seems like these headphones are the updated version of the RZ-S500W. They offer some more features (multiple point connections), but even the app looks almost the same. So would be interesting to know if the higher price pays out as the RZ-S500W are available for less than 100 Eur having the same key features.
Hello! I have it and i love it! But (there is one big BUT) if you buy AZ60 for listening music on RUclips, Tidal or Spotify AZ60 will sound very bad. They tend to penalize compressed music like mp3. If you will listen to music in applications like Foobar2000 and have FLAC or WAV files, you will love headphones and enjoy the quality of LDAC
I've been using these for a month. Generally agree with this review. I was expecting an ultra- comfortable fit on the basis of other reviews and was initially disappointed in this regard, but I also have the Soundcore LP3s and don't find them any better. If anything, I find the LP3s more likely to come loose during exercise. From my limited experience, I find that stem designs seem to be more comfortable (Libratone, Edifier). After a while, I am fine with the fit and think these are high quaity earbuds.
I was surprised to have this comfort issue based on other reviews as well. I guess I’m simply out of luck here. The L3P is much more comfortable in my ears
@@AndysTechTone I'm struggling to find a pair of earbuds with top tier sound quality and a high level of comfort. The new Final Audio ZE3000 look interesting (their wired E4000s are the most comfortable in-ears I've tried), but lack ANC.
Another great review man. I certainly like the look of these, including the case , however I don't think I'll be getting these. Still here for support and the great content
I'm hoping you get the new Soundpeats Mini Pro that people are talking about. Haven't seen any negative reviews for them yet & would like to see yours if possible. I really wanna see them compared to the Earfun Free Pro 2, as they seem like a direct competitor. Thanks
Just got the AZ60, but have a problem. the ANC causes a noticeable crackle and hiss that is quite noticeable when no audio is playing. is this normal? do other TWS have this issue!? ps my wh1000xm3 doesn't have this static sound with anc on.
If the AZ60 has a similar ANC performance as the Panasonic s500wm since they use the same technology, they should outperformace the XM4 at lower frequencies according to Sound Guys measurements. They should be a better choice if you use them on airplanes.
I had to return the AZ60 for comfort issues also, everything your video mentions is spot on. Thanks as always. I love your entertaining content. Sadly comfort is the main thing for my ears. I think i will buy the jabra elite 7 active again, after i sended mine back cause of hardware issues.
Thank you so much. aside from comfort , I am a bit hesitant to buy these or beats fit pro as I prioritize mic quality , multipoint connection, ambient sound clarity, and lastly sound quality and imaging (I only use them for iPhone iPad iMac only) any recommendation?
The Technics sound is definitely better than the Beats but being an Apple user you might want to get the Fit Pro especially if comfort/fit is important to you.
Another fantastic well structured and informative review. Your reviews are the most watchable of any earbud related on youtube. How much of a step down is the sound quality of the Vista 2's in terms of clarity and sound separation compared to top tier buds like these?
I love the Vista 2 for it’s lean bass and detailed sound. I believe they are pretty close to the best in terms of clarity and separation and they react to EQing very well
Brother, according to your experience, Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless ANC 3 has just been released. Do you think I should choose Technics Az60 and then Panosonic technics Az70W, which one should I choose bro?sound, music listening, phone calls and multi-device connection are important for me, and also for friends who have experience in using your youtube page, the answer can help, thank you, I wish you luck
You should check out the Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro or the 1More Evo (available from May 10th). Not sure if the new Sennies will support multipoint use. The AZ60 are great buds and tick all the boxes but I found them uncomfortable to use. Of course it doesn’t mean they won’t fit in your ears perfectly but this is my experience
@@AndysTechTone The new sennheiser does not support multiple again and I love the az60 design, but as I said, I want to have features such as design sound, multi-device support, and I want to choose a product that I will not regret. Thanks, take care, goodbye for now.
What's about Bang & Olufsen Beoplay EQ in terms of sound between them?.. I am still using my sennheiser momentum 2 with Sony EP-EX10AB for best results ( I tried also original and spinfit cp360 tips).. So try them for technics too 😉
hi, can someone tell me if you put the Sony WF-1000XM4 at the highest "clear bass" in the Sony app, does the Technics az60 still beat it with its bass?
I just bought some Technics. If the 1000mx4 signature is anything like the over ear Sony counterparts, I think you'll find the technics lacking in bass in comparison. At least if you're into extreme bass. But Technics definitely sounds more precise and with tweaks sounds great especially for rock/metal. No EQ app I've tried can get that super intense Sony or Skullcandy bass, and boosting it tends to destroy overall quality. His description of the Technics bass being more "lean" is a solid description.
@Andy's Tech Tone Thanks so much for your reply dear Andy🙏 I always enjoy your reviews!:) Bth: I could not resist getting the Soundcore liberty pro 3 (got it for 80 dollars...:)) and I do love them a lot (less for classical music..) and find them enjoyable for listening and great for phone call's :) My warmest wishes🙏🙂
👍🏽 These earbuds are really very good, but at this price the lack of wireless charging and automatic play-pause is inexcusable. When I see high-end earbuds like these and the Galaxy Buds Pro having an issue with comfort or fit in the ears, it's a little beyond me. Why would you want to reinvent the wheel? The design of earbuds like the Galaxy Buds Plus and Jabra 75t are proven, just copy them 🤷🏽♂️.
I wouldn’t mind the lack of wireless charging but comfort is a big deal. As I could see the bump is part of the acoustic chamber so it has something to do with the tuning of the buds. Still it’s no excuse though…
After recent firmware update to 1.06, it allows LDAC to work with multipoint simultaneously.
hi would you still recommend these in 2024? Thanks.
