We cannot take out the common from single column....in matrices k×[Matrix] will result in a matrix which has each element multiplied by k.
You are calculating determinant of matrix (the result will be scalar not a matrix). In other words: you are multiplying DETERMINANT of matrix by that k, not the matrix. So yes you can take out the common from single column.
