Log rides always gave me anticipatory anxiety, waiting for the big drop at the end. This one at least looks better than the one at Kings Island. I rode this one as a kid in the 80s but didn't really recall it.
I always loved this ride when I was a kid. I could of rode this ride all day long back then. I agree with you. It needs to be updated big time. I hope they never close the ride down. Hard to believe it was built back in 71. But, it does show its age.

Wow, as a kid I thought the drop was huge! Now as an old man (58) it's not. However, I really like the fact it's an OG ride from '71 and I hope they keep it OG.

I rode that ride when it was new. They don't need to do anything with it - it's a vintage ride and the purpose of it is to help cool off on a hot day. Not every ride is a thrill ride.
I'm not a huge fan of log flumes because I hate getting wet on them and then having to do all the other rides soaking wet. If I would do a log flume it would be the last ride I would do.
+Real As It Gets A little paint and refurbishment and some sort of theming. Anything to make the ride a bit more visually interesting. It is really showing it's age at this point.
Thre Log Flume is the best. It needs nothing! That rollercoaster was called the Evil Knievel when it was first built.
