Big Quik fan here as well. I would argue though that he was more on the jazzy side. Like a combo of jazz, funk, soul. Also great instrumentalist with the bass guitar. His later albums really showed off his musical talent, whereas his earlier stuff was a lot more sample/loop based.
Used to play DJ Quick tunes back in the day, my favourite being If it don’t make dollars it don’t make sense he is amazing producer for shure. Great video my G you smashed it Bruv 🔥🔥🔥
That was Funkier than a Sack ah' Grandaddy's !!! You almost sounded like George Clinton laughing while the beat was playn'. Thanks for this one, it put me right back on 40hz Gangsta Slump mode. Let's see what this Korg Monopoly VST can do!!! Oh by the way, got that first of the month deposit and I'm on my way over to your site to pick up that book with the 16 pad chord guide structure too. Thanks again Bro'. Keep it GANGSTA Man!
@@Verysickbeats Yeah......I think Ima' go ahead and get that Hard Back copy too. Nothing like having a "Book" with pages. (yea I'm OLD) but that's I learned how to READ, out of a BOOK! These kids today look like the got Arthritis tryin' to flip the pages in a book, but givem' a phone or a tablet and they are off and running. LMAO

Ableton’s stock synth Analog is all you need for g-funk bass and leads. For chords just look for a Rhodes or e piano preset. It should come with a few.
G-funk is one of those genres where if you never heard a G-funk song A day in your life the first time you hear one it's like a breath of fresh air
