So...if given the opportunity to do it again would you? What would you change if you could? The customizations you did wit the speedo, gauges etc. did SLC help any or were you on your own as far as engineering efforts? Any possibility of power steering and a double clutch?
You're pretty much on your own for customizing things. An electric power steering unit might be possible. The electronics for a paddle shifted transmission would be a challenge. Several guys have installed sequential transmissions.
zzzzzsleeping this is for fun and love of cars boot to flip. Are you one of the people that see the "Pagani Kit Car for 20k" and think it's real? Why did you feel the need to make a comment other than to prove your ignorance and stupidity?
Thanks for posting your Car. Amazing job you have done... but 3 years?? If I choose this one, out of the choice of 3 others... I hope to have it done in 9 months to 1 year... Quicker than that if I can... Still , Kudos for a Job well done.
Sure you could do this in less than year. Keep in mind you have another job that probably sucks 12 hours of your day, every day. Need to sleep in there sometime. If you have a wife or girlfriends I'm sure they are gonna want some attention in that time as well. Kids ? You're really running thin on time now. I did all the car building stuff. You don't have as much time as you think. And trust me, an hour a night , hell, you might as well not even bother. I gave up playing with cars for the better part of twenty years so I could be a father to my children and watch them grow. Now they are out of the house and its my time once again. The SLC is looking quite interesting.
One thing I've noticed is not to many (actually haven't seen one yet) people have the optional sliding side window. I think it would suck not being able to open the window. Just think of paying toll roads. You need a window that opens to some degree.
I need to find one that someone started and lost total interest because they realized you actually need some mechanical, fabrication skills. So, any half built/destroyed SLC out there for sale ?
So this is not a official car you buy from a dealer but build and and customize yourself ? And something you find and chose a engine to put into? Btw looks sweet
Correct, you cannot buy this car completed from a dealer. You buy a package of components from www.superlitecars.com, buy your own drivetrain, and assemble yourself. Batteries not included 😜
Porsche Collector slc for sure, i personally think the styling on it is second to none plus its got the lower profile. i also like that it's its own car and not a replica of anything unlike the gtr. but to each his own, the gtr is still a sick car. im hoping to save up for an slc in a few years
I loved it🔥🔥🔥. How much it cost you to finish to build the SLC?? It looks awesome
Awesome detailed video, amazing car!
Love the car, love all the slc. I think or prefer the rear wing. Makes them look more mean!
How do you like those added circular pop vents? Do they provide sufficient cooling in the SLC or do you still have to use the AC to keep cool?
The vents work well, but they certainly don't replace the a/c.
psballent do you have the roof scoop routed to the engine or to allow cool air into the cockpit? Also, how do you like the car in general?

if i will do it over again, i will not buy a kitcar. Hard to sell and the value goes to sewer fast.

Alvin Benjamin That was my plan too. It was a bit more difficult build than I expected.

There is no option for a sliding window. There is an option for a removable half-window, but you can't take it on or off from inside the car.
Great job on the car.
Does the car come with the engine?
flameing zapdos no, you can get it with a transaxle from the factory if you pay extra but the engine is on you
It does not come with an engine or transaxle
psballent if you pay an extra 10-13 grand for it then you can get it a transaxle with the car, look it up on the website
Yes, I know, I bought my transaxle from Superlite, but it is not included with the kit

There's two for sale on gt40s.com.

nice ...u do everything yourself?
Thanks! I did everything but the vinyl wrap.
So YOU'RE the guy that stole the vents off my audi TT for shame!!! :P ;)
One my bucket list. But I'm still torn between SLC and GT-R (especially in carbon)

Best looking SL-C car is this one.

I just wish that transaxle game with taller gears.
