I now understand how to play this game: you need to max your lvl to 150 and stay there forever, then in ng+ and all new games summon other players. To be fun you need to summon 2 players in all castles from the beginning and if you run those castles until which area boss is epic
I would have started the NG+ but it boosts difficulty every new cycle, so the DLC gets affected. And DLCs in souls games, well, harder than the main story. So I got stuck on 1st journey with 400 lvl character
New game plus ill just be continuing my current build right? So if i want to start a new build as a sorcer but keep my current samuri build, then i should just make a new game file, not NG+?
Correct. NG+ is for levelling the same character further. That said remember you can use larval tears with Renalla to respec if you want to try different builds out.
New game plus is honestly a joke in this game. I still play it because I love the game but with the right build at 150 you just delete every boss instantly. I started ng+2 tonight before bed and did margit + Godrick no hit in under 5 minutes.
I think the problem is many of us end the first playthrough overpowered. Each new run through only ups the difficulty a little in terms of hit points required. And of course you need far more hit points to defeat the Elden Beast than you do to beat the earlier bosses. The other problem though is the earlier zones don't offer much runes, so you can't even say set the start bosses 30 levels above your NG+ start point as 30 levels at level 150 is a lot of grinding that's not really possible in the earlier zones. Perhaps they should set them at the same level as you complete the game. Thanks for the thoughts!
I started NG+ and am about to fight the elden beast. It’s weird because all the sites of grace from my original run just appeared on my map. Idk if this is a glitch

Elden Ring has several story arcs you can explore. So next time you go through you can have a look at one of these. The ending changes slightly depending on which arc you follow. A lot of players just enjoy the grind mechanic. Another point about NG+ is you can get a second version of whatever weapon you like. This then opens up dual wielding of that weapon. But if none of that interests, have a look at another game. I'm all for that as I think variety is great to have. The Witcher 3 is amazing if you've not played that. Im curious how the expansion will play out amongst new game plus. As with any game im sure they wont require people to have completed the game to play said expansion, but im curious if starting over in new game plus, then deciding to say take a break for several months, expansion comes out, i return, will my new game plus early game be affected by that, vs just staying in initial game and moving into expansion.
No idea how it'll work as I can't see any concrete details on the release yet. Some developers make things that require high level, some not, so it could go either way. Do you have any tips on how to enjoy ng+? I used almost all build and explored and beat everything on my normal playthrough but on ng+ i got bored after beating rennala.
I don't think it's possible to explore all quest lines in one playthrough so that's the main reason to play again and also collect weapons you may have missed. You can also get two of the same special weapon and dual wield them. NG+ also gives you more runes per kill and the difficulty goes up slightly. Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stones are limited in each playthrough so NG+ also means you can power up other weapons. And have you done the new Shadow of the Erdtree DLC? It depends what level you completed your first game playthrough on as to how challenging enemies will feel. NG+ can be repeated multiple times and gets a bit harder each time. Elden Ring is damn frustrating not having a level indicator for enemies. Certainly Limgrave is going to be a doddle for your character by end of game because you’re likely 150+ at that point so even if those enemies are 5x more levels, your level is still much higher. Hmm generally people like NG+ to explore other endings or go level up and try more weapons. There are only 8 somber dragon stones each playthrough so you need to do more NG+ if you want to try other weapons at their max level. Each NG+ makes the foes a little more challenging. Up to you if that is something you want to try.

Is this in journey 2
The vid? I can't recall. Made this a long time back.
You should maybe consider cutting out the mouth smack noises dude, they’re really noticeable because they’re happening every 30 seconds, anyways thanks for the video….
Thanks for the feedback. Just checked the first 3 minutes and only noticed 1. Seems OK to me and haven't had anyone else say that. This said, my mic nowadays is better so hopefully less of an issue on newer content.
Best for doing missed quests
Yeah, that's why I did it.
No it's not worth it. For those with memory difficulties, you may be able to stomach the entirety of the first playthrough.
NG+ is an interesting one. Lots of people like the repetition system in games because we know what's coming. But in the case of Elden Ring, it is indeed easy to forget the many random locations of things! Thanks for commenting.
How did you use sword and incantations at same time?
Level up attributes for both areas. Equip seal in one hand and sword in the other and have fun. I love the confessor class for this style of build. A good mix of melee and magic.
