6:13 It´s amazing how slow he practices such difficult passages, I would imagine he would shred his hands off during warm up, but by doing this you really focus on the mechanics of the fingering and the fundamentals of "x" passage you wanna practice. A true wise guitar master.

Yo, how funny is this clip all these years later? -The EBMM signature was in its infancy and has since exploded into a fleet of industry go-to models for shredding -Now has his own custom amp -Talked about cutting off all his hair, which he has since grown back out with the most epic beard ever -He's excited about just switching to IEMs, which everybody uses now -He correctly mentions no one is complete w/o cell phone and shows his 65-special FLIP phone. 5 years before the iPhone even existed! I remember watching this on DVD when it was brand new, and holy hell that was already 16+ years ago! Man, time flies.
It's funny how many are surprised by the Floyd tune in the background. To me I have always been able to hear a pretty heavy Floyd influence in DT's music from way, way back. Could have done without the shower garbage part though. I like DT just after Rush. Both are so cool in my book, along with Pink Floyd, Yes, Genesis, UK, King Crimson, some yngwie, etc.

i always read these comments about guitarrists:too technical, too cold no hart, too whatever..being technical doesn't mean that you're better or worst than any other player..these guys (Satriani, Vai, Petrucci, so on) they play with the tools they've gathered up by the years of playing, practicing, trying, challenging themselves to get to where they are now..thats hart, thats effort, they play what comes from the mind and soul..so don't compare guitarrist's technical differences, and enjoy, man
