Yh u can get items from the free battle pass but the premium is all cosmetics. As a bonus to the free items.
@@UKGameShock Yeah - when I saw they'd added a premium battlepass I was immediately skeptical, but all of the starchrom comes from the free track. $50 for the glass house skins is a bit steep but as long as they stick to cosmetics, they can charge as much as they want, imo.
I have no complaints besides servers player caps are capped by characters created, not active players online .

One of the best f2p mmos Ive ever played. Seasonal resets keep everyone even, no p2w, playable fully solo or with a clan/hive. It's still sort of a high end beta, but it plays well and the future looks good.
best discription ive seen so far and I agree so much. the game is still in its baby phase so there are rooms for improvement and for what it is rn its such a good game.

Seasonal resets are lame. All that work for nothing.

You have the knowledge of all your mistakes the previous season to fix, and you get a fresh palette to do it in, along with keeping all your power through blueprints and upgrades. You lose nothing you can't replace in a day, but the game doesn't get flooded with hoarders breaking material markets, and every player, even the newest, has a chance to keep up with every other.
If your sandcastle getting knocked down breaks your heart, this ain't your game. For those that see an opportunity to build back better instead, come play.

Given the state of gaming these days, I wouldn't be surprised at all if the studio somehow got dropped. (Hopefully it all works out in the end though, the game looks awesome.)
I like his prioritization here. First thing he mentioned was that NetEase would have to kill them as if that is the more likely scenario.
Companies have claimed before their games will have no pay to win, only for the game to fully launch and they go 'I lied'
And it's a chinese company so I have my doubts.
Well, once again, they are under management of another group most of the time, and unfortunately those groups like the short term profitability of pay to win, while most devs want to make a game that is fun for a long period of time, they do in fact still have to keep their jobs.
I want to add this as someone that played the beta super hard the first few weeks. They had an emote/cosmetic shop that used the same currency as the gacha/blueprint machine so unless they do change this they will have pay to win early on because people will be able to spend to unlock legendary tier gear.

the day before was a joke with a very poorly designed system. That game was fake. This game actually works. So you can be 100% sure it will live 50x longer than the day before.

They have that one item that is like "fully upgraded camp" or something. That is all I have seen that could be seen as slightly pay to win, but you can get your base fully upgraded without spending a dime. So I don't see it as pay to win, I see it as a pay to skip some upgrade stuff. Personally I love the upgrading system.

They got forced to do the battle pass so had to give in on that one. as long as the p2w stays out i'll play this every so often.

I started playing this game figuring I would play it for a few hrs and delete it. That was 4 days ago, and I haven't played anything else since. Such a fun game.
Hopefully they stick to it. We've heard studios say this before, then switch up after release.
Maybe those examples switched dev teams or just sold their ip
Depending on how big the publisher is they might not have much of a choice a lot of the time. Net Ease is one of the greediest companies out there, could easily see them replacing an entire dev team to try pulling more money out of consumers.

Havent seen any pay to win yet. They have been really good with trying to make up for issues with the game by giving chests and other materials. Love this game so far. It has some work to do but all in all it's been a nice treat.
What isn't fun is having to restart the game every time a new mate jumps on it because they lock the low populated servers from the start.
Ah, so all the infected zombie things in the game are former devs/studio employees... I understand now.

i heard every 6 weeks your character goes back to level 1 but keep everything that you have found
blue prints cosmetics, starchrome, mitsuko marks, steller planula, etc. essentially that kind of stuff. not levels materials, weapons items, etc.
If I make a game I'd want to sell a ¢99 pay to win option that just lets the credits roll then maybe you get a special crown that says winner on it

Man I'm telling you right now this game was sent from Heaven, I'm in love with the beta currently. Has some issues here and there. But its addicting as hell lol.
I love this game.
The free BP rewards you premium currency already which are Starchroms. Which you can save to get weapon/gear BPs from the arcade. If you buy the BP it just rewards cosmetics. Which i see is fine and they're totally sticking to what they said.
It feels good to play, the sniping is a little off but otherwise really fun
The fact this game is on pc and mobile but not on console is beyond me
It's Netease, once all the kinks, and bugs are ironed out they'll replace them

That is a bold statement, I respect it.
And they stayed true to their words even after adding battlepass in the game. This is the first time I was so impressed by how generous a game in terms of micro transaction and freebies in the game. The game already gives you A LOT of free stuff. And the free version of the battlepass has more worth than actually buying the premium itself. The only extra stuff you get when you buy the battlepass are just skins and decoration. The free version has in game currency! You don't see that in any game in 2024. I love this devs man.
