Possibly the best DH in the bigs. You're right, since that slow start last year he has been consistently good.

What a win. This is the kind of win that can really boost confidence when the starting pitching is mediocre.
Those are 2 concerning starts in a row. He pitched much better after and kept them in the game but that was rough to watch. Almost a copy of his last start, except he stayed in.
Who knew starters were the true inning eaters?

Fried's second rough start in a row to start the season, thankfully his offense bailed him out from a loss with an incredible comeback win. Second time the Braves have done this to this team, they'll have nightmares about it tonight, and going to their next opponent.
Actually fried doesn't get any 'w-l' recognition for even being in the game, he only got rescued from a loss appearing.
Great win. I’ll give Fried some leeway because Philadelphia and AZ are lineups that can tag any pitcher. Plus this can get him the proper mindset for competition.

I was outside working and came in to see we were already down 6-0. I KNEW that was nothing and had no doubts we could rally. I love this team!! Go Bravos!

I think it should be viewed like this...our 2 aces had arguably their worst 2 starts of their Careers....And simply didn't matter...we still won...keep in mind, this team used 16 different starters last year....and we "still" won 104 games... GOOD TO BE A BRAVE ⚾🔥🔥🔥

Been lots of teams in MLB history that have been contenders with just a really good offense and a really good bullpen. Looks like this is gonna be one of those teams. Starters just give us 5 innings and let the bullpen take over.

@@SergioSanchez-pl4sl If it comes to it, they'll figure it out without him. Unlike basketball, 1 player can't really make or break a team. Remember: we lost Acuna in '21 and still won the WS. For me, the way the playoffs go determines whether or not everyone is playing well at the same time.

@@SergioSanchez-pl4sl My pleasure. It is sad when players go down. In the past, I probably freak out a little. But it's such a long season and every team deals with injuries and setbacks. Just part of the game. In fact, we should go ahead and accept now that more bad things are probably going to happen lol. I trust that the team will find a way to push through it. This is a winning franchise and they've proven that over and over.

Strider is likely gone for the year, but you don't need to worry about Fried. He is proven ace. It's just two rough games. The silver lining was how great he looked after the first inning. He'll settle in in his next start vs the 30th OPS Mets.
Even without Strider, our pitching is just fine. Sale, Morton, and Lopez all looked great, and we have plenty of backup arms in Elder, Smith-Shawver, Ynoa, and Waldrep. Not to mention the #1 bullpen in baseball

This offense has hit God mode
Tell me about it. They all make it look so easy, going the other way, not trying to pull everything. The mark of a good team is unselfishness. Notice how throughout the series nobody was ever trying to be a hero. Seems like they all get even more locked in when it's time to take care of business. I hope to God they can play like this in the postseason because if so, it's lights out.

still slightly concerned about max, but he settled down after the terrible 1st inning which was good. then i think he just got tired during the 4th, but hopefully those decent two innings will bring his confidence up. think hes gotten a bit in his head lately 🤞🏻

Hopefully the pitching issues early will get resolved. But the offense has been electric and what a great approach on how the offense is getting it done with keep the line moving, hitting the ball for hits and not just the HR or nothing.

As a Braves fan,I've seen this movie play out so much that it's common now,but it doesn't ease my concern over Strider's elbow
As much as I love the Braves & our starting pitchers, you can't keep digging a hole in the 1st inning & hoping the bats will bail you out because they're not going to be able to do it every time. But definitely good to see another outstanding comeback.

Although I’m not concerned with the rotation at this moment and time, Fried needs to be better and our depth is going to be tested very early into the season. Would figure one of Dodd or Vines get the spot start and Elder is back soon.
Im quite concerned personally with Strider likely gone for the year, Sale being injury prone and Fried so far getting shelled.... Gonna need AJ and potentially Waldrep to step it up and get ready. Vines is no mlb caliber pitcher
