  • In this video I go over Nature's Prophet's ultimate, Wrath of Nature. This was requested a good amount, so I thought it would be helpful to make a video on it. I go over things like how the jumps work, and how it determines what it jumps to around the map. I also touch on things like the damage it deals as well as the Aghanim's Scepter upgrade. I hope you enjoy the video, and thanks for watching!
    Here's a playlist of these videos where I take a deeper look into the mechanics of something that I think is widely misunderstood, confusing, or just interesting - • How Crystal Maiden's F...
    I'm going to try to start streaming more often. I mostly play 4/5 in the immortal bracket. If that sounds like something you might enjoy then check out the stream, thanks :3 / zzadrianzz_

    Really cool. Standing by for "How Earth Spirit's Magnetize Actually Works".

    • @spiralingspiral72
      @spiralingspiral72 Год назад +2

      Think of it as a plague, which starts with the units directly hit by the AOE of Magnetize, and that you must use Stone Remnants to spread them to other units.
      The Magnetize buff serves three purposes, one is to deal damage per second, the second is to check for nearby Stone Remnants within 500 distance, and the other is to spread the slow from Boulder Smash and the silence from Geomagnetic Grip equally to all units that have the Magnetize debuff, REGARDLESS if they were actually hit by Earth Spirit's boulders.
      Do note that the stun from Rolling Boulder isn't spread, bcuz too OP for Valve, I guess. Also Magnetize pierces Spell Immunity, both on cast and spread, but it's a dispellable debuff and the slow and silence from ES' other abilities do not pierce BKB in this way.

    Also do note that the damage is increased by 10% in a geometric sequence, not an arithmetic sequence.
    This means that instead of the percent being stacked additively, it is stacked multiplicatively.
    For this example, let's say Valve nerfs NP so hard that his ult now deals 100 base damage.
    - - An arithmetic sequence would continually add the 10% damage, so 0% increase on first unit, 10% on 2nd (110 damage), 20% on 3rd (120 damage), and so on. You can clearly see a pattern of the damage increase being added by 10% (or 10 damage) per unit hit, which makes it an arithmetic sequence.
    - - Now in a geometric sequence, the 10% is multiplied to the previous unit hit. This means that the 1st unit hit takes 100 damage, and the 2nd unit takes 110 damage, and so far it looks like the one in the arithmetic sequence. But because this uses multiplication instead of addition, the 3rd unit hit actually takes 121 damage (11% damage) because 10% of 110 damage is 11 damage (10% of 11% is 1.21%, so it's 12.1%), and then added to itself for a total of 121 damage.
    - - This means that unlike the arithmetic sequence where the 4th unit would've took 130 damage, here it takes 132.1 damage, because 10% of 12.1% is 1.21% and added to itself makes 13.21%, and then the 5th unit takes 145.31 damage (10% of 13.21% is 1.321%, add them up for a 14.531% overall damage increase), and so on and so forth.
    This should explain why the damage values shown at 1:09 look kinda off, and the numbers don't end in a zero, as you would expect from an arithmetic sequence.

    Do one about spectres dispersion, very simple at first but confising

    • @dochente
      @dochente Год назад +1

      Basically, a percentage of the damage you have taken is reduced and mirrored to the each target within the 400 radius around you. So say you take 100 damage from any source, then you take 80 damage in total and each enemy within 400radius takes 20 damage(%20 at max level without the talent). Targets within 400 and 800 radius also take damage but diminishingly with respect to how far they are. Targets further than 800 radius are unaffacted. Keep in mind radius is only important for the reflection. The damage reduction is independent of the range the damage is coming from.

    • @MrBattleMage
      @MrBattleMage Год назад

      % of damage that spectre take is absorbed and also applied back to *each* enemy around her. Inside 400 circle enemies take full damage (20% or 25% with talent). Then damage received is decreasing proportionally until 800 range. Enemies further than that take no damage at all. Not sure if it's worth 6 min video :)

    Here are some good interactions with Wrath of Nature
    *Warlock's Fatal Bond* is insane when it comes to maximizing the burst damage from WoN. While the skill itself does work on any AoE/Cleave mechanics, Fatal Bond disregards distance and any retreating units under the spell will receive a huge percentage of the burst.
    *Zeus/Spectre/Bounty/Slardar Ultimate* is a pretty revealing spell. Benefits super well for WoN to bounce on, it makes it easier for NP to gain some extra damage without relying on vision. Of course, Invoker's Sunstrike is a happy little mention since there are instances where the skill managed to trigger WoN bounce, yes it exists.
    *Summoned Units* are NP's favourite toy, especially when large number of units under vision actually maximizes NP's bonus damage. It benefits the Hero, but in many cases prevented your WoN's burst capability since the bounces are wasted on the existing summons. The trade can be good or bad depending on the situation and intentions, with the amount of NP games appearing left and right the results are way too varied to make a conclusion.

    • @zzadrianzz

      Yeah this is kinda a confusing thing. As far as I'm aware I don't think there's any way to know for sure if a root will or will not disarm unless it explicitly says so, or if you know from experience.
      Disarming roots were formerly known as Entangle, but I think that terminology isn't used nowadays officially.
      This could be a good thing to go over in a video 🤔

    would like to know about orb effect interactions (what is an orb, do illusions get orb effects, etc)

    • @runeheal
      @runeheal Год назад

      Orbs no longer exist in dota, but the terminology is still used. Orb is an old term from wc3 where unique attack modifiers would be displayed by an orbiting sphere around your character. Previously, you couldn't have multiple orb effects - you would have to choose between lifesteal, desolator, skadi, or orb of venom, as having one would cause the other to not apply its effect.
      In addition, OD's arcane orb, Viper's poison attack, and AM's mana break (to name a few) were all "unique attack modifiers".
      "Orb walking" is the technique of manually using your toggleable attack, such as Clinkz's Searing Arrows, or Viper's Poison attack on an enemy.
      If you do this, then despite it being tied to an auto attack, creeps will treat it like you are just casting a spell, and not aggro to you. This technique is very powerful when laning.
      This does not work if you simply toggle it on and right click someone though.
      Illusions do not apply desolator, skadi, maelstrom. They do not benefit from purchased lifesteal. However visually it will look like they are,
      Mana burns from diffusal blade are reduced on illusions. AM's mana burn is also reduced on illusions. Illusions cannot use Searing Arrows, Poison Attack, Chilling Touch, Impetus, Arcane Orb, but they will inherit Dusa's Split Shot, if toggled.

    Hey Dude.. how about void's 2nd skill. time dilation how it works and how to maximixe its potential. thanks :)

      void applies a debuff to everyone within 775 radius, causing their spells to cooldown 2.5x as slow while it is active. Once it expires or is dispelled, their cooldown begin to recharge at normal speed. It also slows movement speed and does minor damage over time for each spell you have on cooldown.
      It is best used after time walking in and delaying the recharge of short cooldown disables, cancelling blink daggers, or to cripple enemies that are reliant on mobility spells, like weaver, pangolier or windrunner.
