Thank you for this recipe, very simple,I just made it but I am surprised that you don't have more soaps recipes, in my soap I added macha green tea powder for color, looks great.
Can you do a layer of glycerin let it harden and then do a layer of this to have different dimensions? and just to be clear you said mix lye with icy water then let it cool down until temperature of both oil and lye is at 95deg f? can you please explain? thank you
When u add lye it heats up to 200. So you need to let it cool then heat your oils and cool both the lye and the oils to similar temp so you can mix together. You cant mix one with the other if very different temperatures so try to cool to same ish temp but below 40
Hello Melba, for hard soaps like the one we made on the video you'll need sodium hydroxide. There is no substitute for lye. Nothing else will make oil become soap. Lye is highly corrosive so it is not safe, extra caution needs to be taken when working with lye. I hope this helps.
It actually turned out to be quite a hard soap. It dried out quite hard and it kept its consistency while used. I hope it helps and let us know if we can help further.
If you mean clean as white color, than you only add coconut oil and your soap will be clear white (and pretty hard as coconut oil makes a very hard soap). If you mean clear as no lye, that I am not sure. As far as I know there is no substitute for lye. Nothing else will make oil become soap. I hope this answers your question.
probably didn't use a soap calc for proper lye amounts for SAP values. The recipe should be done in percentages or grams/ounces NOT in measuring cup values. Not a very well formulated soap recipe... I won't comment on adding lavender buds in the soap batter and what the end result will be with that.

Excellent, I do quite a few variations myself, but only made this basic recipe. Green tee powder sounds very good, I'll have to try that myself.
Great idea! How much would you use in this recipe? Thank you.
For your recipe I would use 3 tbsp of macha green tea.
thank you so much for this
Thank you
What is ur soap quality? And do you superfat with this recipe?
When curing, where is best for storage?
Well ventilated area. Clean. Out of reach from pets or children.

Are u using preservative to stop mould growth ?
No preservatives at all. Never had the need as I haven't had issues with mould.
Where do you get the molds and the spatula
Sorry for the late reply. You can get them online form Amazon or eBay, or form specialty online shops, they are relatively cheap.
Please post the percentage if not as a soap maker I don't recommend this due to safety issues.
What type of lye are you using and is it safe?

Was it a soft soap?

What 3 oils is it talkin about?
Hello Angela, this recipe uses Hemp Oil, Coconut Oil and Olive Oil. I hope this helps.
@@greendorphinmedia3714 Hi, can you make it with hemp oil only?
It looks crumbly... probably lye heavy
